0.3 to G Gambhir, doesn't take long for Pattinson to strike! That really squared up Gambhir, landed on middle and slightly shaped away off a good length, Gambhir was squared up with the extra bounce and movement, thick outside edge to Clarke at first slip. 0/1 18.2 to V Sehwag, Sehwag had it coming because he was edgy all morning, Pattinson does all the basics right, pitches it up on the channel just outside the off stump, draws Sehwag to poke at it, loud edge and Haddin pouches it. 55/3 20.5 to VVS Laxman, Pattinson gets the SCG's Big Fish! Pattinson once again keeps it simple and pitches it up, draws Laxman forward and induces the thick outside edge which flies to Marsh at third slip, Laxman was a bit late in getting forward and across. 59/4 40.5 to SR Tendulkar, Pattinson gets the other SCG Big Fish as well! Off an inside edge, Pattinson bowls it full and wide outside off, Tendulkar bends forward to drive through the covers but gets a thick inside edge onto his stumps, not Pattinson's best delivery of the day to be honest but he's on a roll. 124/6 | ||||||||||

54.2 to R Ashwin, and finally some reward for Hilfenhaus! Gets Ashwin with a cracker of a delivery outside off, probes on the off stump, moved away a touch late, took the outside edge as he tried closing the face of the bat, carries well to first slip, Hilfenhaus deserved an earlier wicket but this is an apt reward for his persistence. 178/7 54.3 to Z Khan, he's got two in two! Zaheer Khan gets a snorter that rises up to his face, he takes his eyes off it, bends down to evade it but the ball's too quick for him, tries to drop his gloves but the ball lobs off his gloves to Cowan at short leg, they check for the no-ball but it's legal. 178/8 56.3 to I Sharma, Hilfenhaus is running through the line-up now! He gives Ishant the same brutal delivery to Zaheer, short one on the face, too much for the tailender to fend off, lobs off his glove to Cowan at short leg. 186/9 | ||||||||||

The short leg comes into play, pitches it up a bit further, Dravid tries to flick it to the leg side, inside edges to the pad and Cowan takes it easily fielding close. 30/2 32.6 to V Kohli, India lose half their side before 100! Yet another one falls to a catch behind the wicket, Siddle bowls it in the channel outside off, Kohli was forward when he should have stayed back, failed to account for the bounce and it took the edge higher up on the bat, easy take for Haddin. 96/5 59.3 to UT Yadav, Yadav doesn't last the over and Siddle gets his 100th Test wicket! He lands it on the channel outside off, Umesh is caught at the crease and pokes at it, Haddin takes the edge, they check for the no-ball, he's safe. 191/10 | ||||||||||

Zaheer pitches up again and it does the trick, keeps it just outside the off stump, the ball holds its line but Marsh fails to cover the line properly, this time Laxman hangs on to it properly at second slip, falling to his right. 8/2 8.5 to EJM Cowan, Zaheer's taken all three! He bowls a similar delivery to the previous ball, pitched it up and got it to move back in, pitched outside off, Cowan tried to clip it across the line, beaten for pace and struck in line in front of off stump, Ian Gould is convinced. 37/3 | ||||||||||

Ishant gets a bit of extra bounce with the new ball outside the off stump, Ponting once again tries to slice it through the off side, can't keep it down and ends up playing it straight to Tendulkar at point, took a while to sink in for Tendulkar that India have finally got a wicket, Ponting walks back to a standing ovation for a serene innings. 325/4 | ||||||||||

85.5 to V Kohli, that was unfortunate for Kohli! It landed on that crack on a good length and kept really low, the ball nipped back in sharply after pitching and as he tries to whip it to the on side he's trapped flush in front of the stumps and falls over at the crease. 286/7 | ||||||||||

3.3 to V Sehwag, stunning catch by Warner! Sehwag was tempted into chasing one that was fractionally short and angling across him, he had the width but ended up slashing it just within Warner's reach at point, he leaps to his left and cups it with both hands above his head, tumbles and hangs on. 18/1 26.3 to R Dravid, through the gate and the malaise hasn't escaped Dravid yet! Hilfenhaus squares him up for a delivery that comes back in, Dravid gets forward but leaves a gap between bat and pad, the ball sneaks through and hits the top of the off stump. 100/2 82.1 to VVS Laxman, that's the ball of the match I reckon! Laxman was completely squared up, Hilfenhaus pitched it up on the off stump and held its line, Laxman played down the wrong line and the ball just shaved the off stump, Hilfenhaus can't believe what he's managed to do. 276/5 84.6 to MS Dhoni, caught a bowled appeal! Full and close to the yorker length, Dhoni squeezes it out back to the bowler, it lobs up to the bowler, Hilfenhaus wasn't exactly celebrating immediately because there was a doubt as to whether it was a bump ball or not, the Australians were certain and the decision was escalated to the third umpire, replays showed that it lobbed off the toe of the bat. 286/6 110.5 to R Ashwin, Hilfenhaus grabs five! Ashwin attempts another pull off a short delivery but this time in front of square, miscues it and Lyon does really well to pedal backwards at midwicket and cup it above his head. A leading edge to point, an anti-climax considering how assured the batsmen were this morning, Gambhir tries to work it to the on side but he wasn't in control, probably hurried onto him, the leading edge travels a long way to Warner. 168/3 93.5 to Z Khan, neat catch by Marsh! Zaheer backs away to a shorter delivery from round the wicket and tries to carve it over the off side, balloons off his bat and Marsh does well to pedal backwards from extra cover and take it. 342/8 | ||||||||||
