45.1 to L Ronchi, And he's out for 99. He bowled the length ball, angling in towards off stump, and he sort of stabbed at it, not sure what exactly he was trying to do, maybe run it down to third man, and he only managed an outside edge through to de Kock. Super innings, a pity it ended short of a century. 230/10
7 | 1 | 38 | 2 | 5.42 | 30 | 1 | 4 | 2 | 0 | |
5.3 to JDS Neesham, beauty. Neesham was looking to defend into the covers, playing for the ball swinging in to him, but it kept going with the angle across and kissed his outside edge through to the keeper. Superb length too, and he was in that halfway forward position as he poked at the ball. 21/1 9.2 to MJ Guptill, whoops. This was always going to look bad on the scorecard if he didn't carry on and play a long innings. Guptill goes after another outswinger, this time closer to off stump. He was looking to hit over mid-on, maybe, and it takes his outside edge through to the keeper. Poor choice of shot, and the pressure of all those dot balls seems to have gotten to him. 35/2
8 | 1 | 39 | 2 | 4.87 | 36 | 4 | 2 | 0 | 1 | |
15.4 to BB McCullum, gone! McCullum's looked very eager to pull, and he went for the shot even though it was head-high and he had to drag it from outside off. Doesn't control it at all, and the man at deep backward square leg takes the simplest of catches. 68/4 15.5 to CJ Anderson, and that's two in two. Anderson had only just marked out his guard, and Morkel's slipped one through him. It was back of a length, angling away, and Anderson's feet were stuck in nowhere-land, and his bat caught in the zone between prodding and leaving. In the end, the bat went nowhere and the ball hit his inside edge and crashed into the stumps. This is not looking good for New Zealand. 68/5
10 | 1 | 37 | 2 | 3.70 | 33 | 3 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
14.4 to DG Brownlie, was that an edge? It was quicker and it slipped past, or kissed, Brownlie's outside edge as he poked at it from halfway forward, beaten more by pace than the turn, and it's given not out after de Kock went up for the caught behind. South Africa have reviewed... aaand Snicko shows a noise as it passes the bat... HotSpot doesn't show anything, though. It sounded out, Snicko thought so too, so does the third umpire, and so does Chris Gaffaney on the field. Brownlie has to go.. 68/3 27.4 to DL Vettori, gone! Vettori looked to sweep this length ball and missed. It straightened from middle to middle and the umpire's finger went up immediately. He reviewed it, but it was among the plumbest lbws in the history of the game, and it was more in hope than in belief that he reviewed. Was hitting middle stump three-quarters of the way up. 134/7
8 | 0 | 59 | 2 | 7.37 | 24 | 9 | 1 | 2 | 0 | |
32.3 to NL McCullum, what a catch that is! It was short, angling down leg, it was there to pull, but he only got glove on that and de Kock skipped a step to his left as soon as he saw the line of the ball and threw himself into the horizontal to take it at full stretch, one-handed. 145/8 34.4 to KD Mills, short ball, was there to pull, but Mills ends up hitting it down the throat of the man at deep midwicket. Philander only had to run a few steps to his left to catch that at a nice chest height. 156/9
5 | 0 | 22 | 1 | 4.40 | 16 | 1 | 0 | 1 | 0 | |
26.5 to TWM Latham, what a way to go! He skipped down the pitch and looked to work it against the turn. Almost yorked himself, and ended up jamming the ball into his pad, and it rolled down to the keeper who had loads of time to whip off the bails since Latham was stranded yards outside his crease. 133/6 |

24.5 to HM Amla, ohh, he's played on! Good length ball on and around off stump, Amla meets it with an angled bat to get a single towards third man. But all he does is get an inside edge - Mills slower pace and this pitch seem like a match made in heaven - and timber! Scrambled seam does the job. 97/4
10 | 2 | 40 | 2 | 4.00 | 36 | 3 | 0 | 3 | 1 | |
1.1 to Q de Kock, so much for warming up! This is a beauty. Angled a back of a length delivery in and forces de Kock to play, then squares him up with some away movement and by that time the batsman was committed into the shot. The outside edge manifests and Latham picks up a simple catch stomach-high. 11/1 7.5 to F du Plessis, another short ball, and this doesn't have the room for the pull again. In addition it was a touch slower, which dupes a bottom edge to come forth and New Zealand celebrate again.. 30/2

18.1 to RR Rossouw, Coooorey Jaayyy! Lures the batsman into a lazy drive on the up and the thick outside edge sails to the lone slip! Poor shot selection there, but that's come about as a result of all the pressure that's been piled on the batsman. It might be drinks as well. 73/3
