1.1 to DD Ebrahim, the mercurial Adams shows yet again why he is a very hard player to peg into a certain hole, coming up with a wonderful response, shortish lifting ball outside off stump, Ebrahim pokes at it loosely, chopping a thick bottom edge back on to his stumps, middle stump clean knocked out of the ground and Zimbabwe off to a shaky start. 5/1 | ||||||||||

5.6 to CD McMillan, goodness, what a wicket! shortish ball with some width outside off stump, McMillan tries to smack the cover off the ball but only succeeds in getting a thick edge through to the keeper, he stands around and waits for the umpire to hisfinger, clearly out, all the players celebrate, except the bowler doesn't appeal, nay, can't appeal, as he's lying flat on the pitch, having stumbled on his follow through and seemingly in some discomfort, thinking of his own health ! but he has a wicket, and he'll happily accept it, a good early breakthrough for Zimbabwe. 27/1 | ||||||||||

13.3 to SP Fleming, Blignaut gets the much needed breakthrough to end a quick fire stand, quicker, fullish ball angling in from wide on the crease, Fleming plays across it, struck on the pad on or just a fraction outside the line of off stump, big appeal and upgoes the dreaded (slow) finger of umpire Koertzen, was certainly going to take out the stumps, just a question of where it struck him, not a terrible call the danger man Fleming is on his way for a fine 46 off just 42 balls, Zimbabwe looking to scrap this one out all the way, time for a drinks break at the fall of wicket. 72/2 19.2 to SB Styris, Styris falls into a trap set, Blignaut bounces him, goes for the inviting hook, makes great contact, but sends it sailing straight down sub fielder Travis Friend's throat just inside the rope at deep backward square leg Zimbabwe keeping this contest very much alive, chipping away, not making it easy, the current and required run rates intertwine once again, it certainly looks game on from here. 97/3 | ||||||||||
