Champions League T20 2012
Road to the final: Sydney Sixers
Winning beginning: Moises Henriques fired with bat and ball as Sydney Sixers opened their campaign with a 14-run victory over Chennai Super Kings. He first blitzed 49 not out off 23 balls to lift Sydney 185, and then claimed the wickets of Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni and S Badrinath in a tidy spell.•Associated Press
Watto makes an exit: Shane Watson had to leave the Champions League T20 early, to prepare for Australia's Test series against South Africa, and he made his last outing count against the team Sydney will play in the final: Lions. He conceded just over a run a ball and took two wickets, and then top-scored with 47 in Sydney's five-wicket win. •Getty Images
Yorkshire carnage: Game two for Sydney was a caning of Yorkshire. After Yorkshire crawled to 96 for 9 against their incisive pace attack, their batsman knocked off the target in less than nine overs to complete the thumping.•Getty Images
Dealing with defending champions: Have just 136 to defend against Mumbai Indians, winners of the last edition of the Champions League? Not a problem, it would appear, if you happen to have Sydney's line-up of bowlers. A comfortable 12-run win would have been even bigger, but for the 20 futile runs Mumbai scored in the final over. •Getty Images
Semi-classic: Remember Pat Cummins' cool cameo to take Australia home in the Johannesburg Test last year? This was another one of that kind of composed-under-pressure innings. He came to the crease with the semi-final having seesawed along, the crowd vociferously behind home-team Titans and Sydney panicking after being ahead. They needed 32 off 23 with four wickets in hand, and he proceeded to run the quick singles, steal leg-byes and unleash a six over long-on just as the pressure increased. A riveting last-ball finish later Sydney were in the final. •Getty Images
