That brings an end to our coverage of this Test match. Sri Lanka go to Colombo with all the confidence in the world, a ton of momentum and a proud home record. Can they effect a 2-0 sweep or will Bangladesh pull themselves together and make sure honours are even? Join us on Wednesday to find out. We hope you enjoyed our coverage of this Test; we have certainly enjoyed bringing it to you. Until next time!

Atiq: "@Saith Condition is different though Australia is doing fine in India."

Rangana Herath I would say kind of a big achievement, but I must thank every single person who ha supported me - the support staff, my family - I want to say thank you to all of them. The pitch still looks like a good batting track. we have no worries about the combination, but there are still areas to improve. Everybody chipped in and I must congratulate everyone because it is a team effort.

Mushfiqur Rahim - I thought the wicket is still pretty good to bat, it does not look like a day five wicket. We conceded a big lead, but I thought the bowlers did still a pretty okay job. It came down to how we batted on the final day and the first session was going to be crucial, but we unfortunately lost wickets. Hopefully, we can bounce back in the next Test. Congratulations to Rangana and the rest of the team. If the bowlers bowl in the right areas, there is something and hopefully, we will come out with better plans in the next Test.

Mendis I am extremely happy about the achievement and thank Rangana Herath and the rest of the team for the support. And very happy Sri Lanka won the match.

Kusal Mendis in the Man of the Match for his first-innings 194.

Time for the presentation ceremony. Roshan Abeysinghe to do the honours.

1.30pm The end was swift after the lunch break. Two hours of the morning session yielded five wickets, but the last five took less than an hour of the second session to fall. Sri Lanka maintain their stronghold over Galle with another dominant win. Remember, no team has successfully chased more than 99 at this ground. Double delight for Sri Lanka with the win and their captain establishing himself as the most successful left-arm spinner in Test cricket ever. That's a proud achievement. Herath found himself on the benches for large parts of his younger days with Muralitharan weaving his magic around the opposition batsmen. But since his retirement, how he has made up for lost time. Familiar issues for Bangladesh with collapses in the second innings and lack of application in batting out the last day. Bear in mind this was still a pretty good strip to bat on. Barring the odd ball, no spitting turn or bounce. But they had no clue about which way some of the balls would turn and ended up making a mess. We will have the presentations with you shortly.

Sajith Nizam : "@Athiq conditions are not much different in Bangladesh and Srilanka. You can't compare Australia and Bangladesh when they play away from home. Asian pitches and weather both are completely different from Australia to Srilanka."

Asif: ""Any chance of rain buddy?"" Doesn't matter, buddy. Game over :)

Atiq: "In their last home series Sri Lanka whitewashed Australia. Out of six innings Australia played, four of them are below 200. Another one is 203. And the remaining one is 379. Every cricket nation nowadays become superpower in their home condition, so does Sri Lanka. Considering this Bangladesh performance is not that bad in this test match. But, yes they need to improve a lot and I think they are in right track. "

Herath to Mehidy Hasan Miraz, OUT

chips it to mid-off and that's the end of it. Six for Herath and Sri Lanka take a 1-0 lead in the series. Flighted and drifting in from outside off. Given the drift, he cannot make good connection and he was also not to the pitch of the ball. Harmlessly sends it into the hands of mid-off and that will be it
