That's it from us on the live coverage of this one. The Colombo Kings v Kandy Tuskers game is only 15 mins from starting though, so join us over on that page.

It's been a bit of a rollercoaster match. Gladiators were listless with the ball and in the field, letting Viiking almost meander to a total of 207. Then they were terrific with the bat, Azam Khan hitting an outstanding 55 off 24, while Gunathilaka stroked his way to his third LPL fifty, and finished on 78 off 52.Viiking dropped a lot of catches, but their bowlers never let the game slip completely out of reach. And Anwar Ali's death bowling was the decisive phase of the game.

Anwar Ali is deserved player of the match for his death bowling: "I just stuck to my basics. Bowl the wide yorkers and use the variations. I just wanted to bowl the slower ones and the slower bouncer."

Dasun Shanaka, Viiking captain: "Our bowlers were bowling loose balls so I was worried, but I knew we had some death bowlers. We could have batted better in the middle period as well, when we didn't increase the run rate."

Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Gladiators captain: "We gave 20 extra runs, and the extras didn't help. We had the match in control but lost it somewhere in the last four overs. Danushka was trying to play some paddle shots and it might have been better if he went for the big shots and tried to hit sixes."

Anwar Ali was immense at the death. He took two wickets in the 17th over despite being hit for four first ball. The dangerous Chadwick Walton was his first victim, before Shehan Jayasuriya was removed with a superb bouncer. Then he bowled one of the overs of the tournament to the Gladiators' best batsman and the top runscorer of the LPL. Gunathilaka could only get two runs off the bat off Anwar's first five balls. Even those two runs were taken while a catch was being dropped. He was caught at long off, and that was essentially the game. It was always going to be difficult to get 18 off the last seven balls, with two new batsmen at the crease.

Earlier, the 94-run partnership between Azam and Gunathilaka had breathed life into the chase, which always seemed steep.

19.6
Rajitha to Siriwardana, no run

it's all over. a perfect yorker from Rajitha to finish, and a chase that for the most part seemed to be in Gladiators' control has been derailed in the final overs

19.6
1w
Rajitha to Siriwardana, 1 wide

what a time to bowl a wide. This is down the legside

19.5
Rajitha to Siriwardana, no run

low full toss again, which Siriwardana can only drill to long off. He opts not to take the single, That should be the game.

19.4
4
Rajitha to Siriwardana, FOUR runs

low full toss on off stump, which Siriwardana gets under nicely and pummels back past the bowler in the air, for four. Fours aren't going to win then the match though

19.3
1
Rajitha to Amir, 1 run

yorker on the stumps, dug out to long on

Oh man, what a clutch over that was from Anwar Ali. Has changed the match completely. Galle need a small miracle from here. Here's Mohammad Amir, the new man at the crease.

19.2
W
Rajitha to Lakshan, OUT

Rajitha gets an lbw decision with the yorker. This is full on the stumps. Lakshan tries to mow it through the legside but misses. That's definitely got to be cannoning into middle stump. The only thing that might save Lakshan is if it's pitched outside leg. But it hasn't . It stays out.

Dhananjaya Lakshan to face his first ball.

Rajitha to Siriwardana, 1 run

full on the stumps, yorker length, actually. Dragged to deep square leg for a single

Here's Rajitha to bowl the last over.

WHat an over from Anwar. Only three runs have come off it, one of which was a legbye. And they got the crucial wicket of Gunathilaka.

1lb
Anwar Ali to Siriwardana, 1 leg bye

almost a yorker to Siriwardana, who gets it on the pads and tries to swing it through the legside. They run a legbye as Anwar makes a futile lbw appeal.

18.5
W
Anwar Ali to Gunathilaka, OUT

they finally hold on to one off Gunathilaka's bat. This is a slower offcutter into the pitch, so it's short of a length. It's wide enough of off stump that Gunathilaka can open his shoulders and try to club this down the ground. But he is through the shot a little early and sends it very high to long on, where Angelo Perera comes in off the rope, gets under it, and completes the catch. Has this swung the game in Viiking's direction

Danushka Gunathilaka c Perera b Anwar Ali 78 (52b 10x4 1x6) SR: 150
18.4
Anwar Ali to Gunathilaka, no run

slower ball yorker, passes under Gunathilaka's bat and through to the keeper. Excellent bowling, and a perfect yorker length

18.4
1w
Anwar Ali to Gunathilaka, 1 wide

attempted bouncer, wide down the legside.

18.3
2
Anwar Ali to Gunathilaka, 2 runs

another drop! That's the third repreive Gunathilaka has hard. This goes incredibly high into the night and Anwar Ali calls for it himself and makes a mess of it. He's run almost to midwicket to get under it, but misjudges the descent of the ball, and he grasps at it. Juggles it once, juggles it twice, and grasses it

18.2
Anwar Ali to Gunathilaka, no run

yorker, slightly wide of off stump. Gunathilaka tries to open the face on this and misses

18.1
Anwar Ali to Gunathilaka, no run

another attempted reverse paddle. against a back of a length slower ball. But he can't connect as he wants, and it drops just behind the stumps. Viiking chance a DRS review on this and that's obviously not an lbw

he keeps the strike for the next over by going back and working this tossed up delivery on the stumps to long on

17.5
1
Mendis to Siriwardana, 1 run

flatter again, and Siriwardana hits this wide of cover to give Gunathilaka the strike

17.4
6
Mendis to Siriwardana, SIX runs

flatter, shorter ball and that's struck hiiiiigh into the sky. Keeps the fielder at long on interested but it clears him comfortably. Big shot in the context of this over and the game.

17.3
Mendis to Siriwardana, no run

fired in at off stump, and it's driven straight to cover

17.2
1
Mendis to Gunathilaka, 1 run

reverse paddle, but he can't beat short third man

17.1
1
Mendis to Siriwardana, 1 run

flatter ball from around the wicket, reasonably short. Siriwardana hits this to cover and turns the strike over

Dinuk: "Dasun Shanaka should bowl more often and work on it - that way it'll help his chances in becoming a regular in the limited overs sides based on the reasons that were given for not picking him for the team for the last few limited over assignments. He's too good to be on the bench."

Ramesh Mendis to bowl the 18th. This is a bit of a risk from Shanaka. Two lefties at the crease, so that's why.
