Well that was a bizarre ending but the Sixers get it done. Brad Haddin held his nerve despite running it a little close for comfort. They had the chase under control. The Renegades weren't helped by the persistent rain that really didn't help the spinners. But they did keep taking wickets at regular intervals to keep the pressure on. In the end there were enough contributors from the Sixers and Haddin's experience along with Pattinson's lack of cricket recently helped get the Sixers home.

Brad Haddin is man of the match: "It got that slippery it was hard to hold your footing and get power thru your shots.

"Hughes and Lumb did well at the top.

"I actually think (Hughes) is our most important player. He plays a particular role to anchor the innings and allow the other guys to play the way they do."

The Sixers face the Thunder on Saturday in a big Sydney Smash while the Renegades host the Hurricanes on Thursday. That concludes our coverage from the SCG tonight. Join us again tomorrow night from the MCG when the Melbourne Stars host the Adelaide Strikers.

Pattinson to Haddin, 2 runs

That's it! Caught on the rope at long on off the free hit and they run two! That's the game. It was swung high but mis hit to long on. The catch was held but it was a free hit and they easily run two. There's a bit of confusion given it was a free hit but the Sixers win!

Free hit for Haddin

Deepak Nayak: "What about T Cooper?? How Cooper, Narine and Perera playing together !!"

Very observant Deepak. There is a clause for the associate nations where players can still play as locals in their domestic competitions despite being dual passport holders. So Cooper can play for the Netherlands but is also a local for South Australia and the Renegades.
