Time for the presentation:

Uthappa is the Man of the Match: Finally, after years of hard work I've settled in the new technique. I had an overhaul a few years ago and I'm feeling like my old self to go after the bowlers and have faith in myself. I like it at No. 3 because the team needs me there. I like the fact that I have responsibility on my shoulders.

Gambhir: A quality side would win from any situation because the toss is not in your hand. The wicket started gripping and when we saw Rashid bowl we knew Sunil and Kuldeep would come into play so we thought we were on par. It's a very good sign that Robin, Manish, Yusuf, all the guys are hitting the ball well. If we have spinners to bowl eight overs after the Powerplay, it's a luxury especially with Kuldeep spinning the ball both days.

That's all we have from this match, folks. Thanks for joining us, looks like KKR's new year started on a great note. Time to head to the second match of the day. Until next time, goodbye and good luck!

7.33pm So an easy win in the end for home team KKR, set up by their batsmen Uthappa, Pandey and then the spin duo of Narine and Kuldeep. One of Gambhir, Uthappa and Pandey keeps clicking for them and so does someone like Umesh, Narine or like today Kuldeep. He bowled beautifully today with flight, drift and turn, especially to Warner and eventually got him out which started Sunrisers' downfall. Rashid did not click for Sunrisers the way they would have wanted and neither did their part-time bowlers. But their main issue still lies in their middle order. For how long will they rely on the openers? Here's a stat on the winning team:

KKR have now won five games against SRH at Eden Gardens without losing one. This is the most won by a team against an opposition at any venue without a loss, in the IPL.

19.6
1
Boult to Ojha, 1 run

finishes up with a short ball that hustles Naman. Goes for the pull, gets it off the splice towards cover. And that's it.

19.5
1
Boult to Bipul, 1 run

goes for the yorker on middle, gets an inside edge through midwicket

19.4
2
Boult to Bipul, 2 runs

low full toss on leg stump, flicks it through to deep midwicket

19.3
4
Boult to Bipul, FOUR runs

full on leg stump, belts it down the ground to the long-on boundary

19.2
4
Boult to Bipul, FOUR runs

top edge over the keeper. Goes for the short ball, Bipul goes for the pull blindly and benefits.

19.1
Boult to Bipul, no run

back of a length and outside off, Bipul goes for a huge swing and comes up with a big miss

Woakes to Ojha, 2 runs

tough to call it a drop, but... Naman goes for a pull, but the short ball is too quick, and climbs too high. Gets it on the splice, and it goes to short fine leg. The fielder Kuldeep Yadav runs back, reaches up over his head to try and claim the catch, but isn't able to.

18.5
1b
Woakes to Bipul, 1 bye

they sneak a bye basically after the wicketkeeper hits the stumps. Naman is backing up, then he stops since Bipul has not moved. Sees Uthappa's underarm throw hit the target, and then sneaks the run

18.4
2
Woakes to Bipul, 2 runs

drums a length ball down the ground, but de Grandhomme races to his left from long-on and stops the boundary

18.3
Woakes to Bipul, no run

nails the wide yorker, and Bipul again, trying to make room on the leg side, is stranded. Tries a slash, doesn't connect

18.2
6
Woakes to Bipul, SIX runs

length ball, and this time Bipul swings his arms and crashes it over the straight boundary.

18.1
Woakes to Bipul, no run

full and wide, which is perfect considering Bipul is trying to back away to leg and haul it away. Can't reach it now so doesn't attempt a shot

17.5
1
Boult to Ojha, 1 run

tries another yorker, this one's driven to cover for another single

17.4
1
Boult to Bipul, 1 run

accurate yorker right on the leg stump, he digs it out to mid-on for one

17.3
Boult to Bipul, no run

just back of length and coming in, he defends it back because there's no room

17.2
Boult to Bipul, no run

length delivery outside off, he tries to swing it away but misses

Boult over the wicket to left-handed Bipul

17.1
W
Boult to Cutting, OUT

a catch has been taken off Boult! Looked like he ran his fingers over it outside off, Cutting lofted it down the ground and found long-off for a straightforward catch

Ben Cutting c de Grandhomme b Boult 15 (10b 1x4 1x6 21m) SR: 150

Have KKR won it already? Boult from around the wicket

57 is the highest scored in the last four overs of a chase at the Eden - by the home team against KXIP in 2008. SRH needed exactly 57 at the start of 16th over today

16.6
1
Woakes to Cutting, 1 run

it's the short and slow offcutter again, he doesn't time it properly and gets a single by pulling the ball to midiwicket

16.5
6
Woakes to Cutting, SIX runs

too full, too straight and Cutting tonks it straight back and high over the bowler's head for a straight six
