That's all we have for you. Thank you for your company and comments. Goodnight.

"We needed this victory," says Azhar Ali, "First two games we didn't play well. we had some plans, but they didn't go well. This time the batters played well and the bowlers backed them up. It was a tremendous innings from Akmal. It was difficult to bowl against him and also Delport, held his nerve, kept his focus. It was difficult to bat first up. Takes time to get together, we knew one good performance would get us going and hopefully this was it"

Sarfraz Ahmed congratulates Umar Akmal on his innings and Lahore Qalandars for the victory. Then he says his team would have to go back, rethink and do better.

Umar Akmal is Man of the Match for his 93 off 40 balls. He says he's been happy playing this kind of an innings and thanks his coaching staff for all their help. I got the chance to bat at No. 3 and had the time. I told myself that I should develop an innings. This pitch was a lot better than before as well.

11.20 pm Celebration time for Lahore Qalandars. They've registered their first win of the PSL, and a comprehensive one over the table-toppers Quetta Gladiators. They began slowly against spin until Cameron Delport and Umar Akmal decided to dictate terms. And with the ball in hand, Zafar Gohar, Ajantha Mendis and Zohaib Khan kept things tight and then capitalised on scoreboard pressure. Eight wickets between them and the only resistance they faced was all too brief: Mohammad Nawaz struck 42, Sarfraz Ahmed struck 31 but once they were dismissed, Quetta folded. Their last five wickets fell for a mere nine runs.

that's gone too. The newish batsman comes down to the crease, immediately runs at the left-arm spinner. Gohar had ample time to adjust, fires it in wide, past the batsman's reach. Rizwan is aware of the change, collects the ball, disturbs middle and the bat is in the air.

Zafar to M Nabi, OUT

he has done him in flight! There is something special in an orthodox spin bowler trumping a big-hitting batsman by giving the ball that little bit of air. Here Nabi had opened his shoulders, going down town. Except Gohar got the ball a little wide of his reach, and it had dipped on him as well. The connection is at the very bottom of the bat and long-on runs around to take the catch

another stumping for Rizwan, rapidly making up for his misses earlier. Nawaz runs down the track and plays across the line of a ball angled across him. Nowhere near the line of the ball and perishes. Some stunning strokes in the innings, but he succumbs to scoreboard pressure here.
