10.58 pm: That's all we have for you today, and that brings the limited-overs leg of this tour to a close. There is still a Test match to play, so don't forget to tune in for that. Till then, it's Saurabh Somani bidding you goodbye on behalf of Hemant and Thilak.

Rashid Khan: Thanks to Almighty for this series win after having a very bad ODI series. We knew we had to bat well and make 150-plus. Once we had that total, we knew we have the bowling strength to defend that. You have to be smart and cool and calm as a professional player. Sometimes you are losing but your energy and mindset for upcoming matches is more important. Yes we lost the first three ODIs and the first T20I but still the focus was that we can still win two trophies - T20Is and Test cricket. It's always great to have senior players in the team, it's very helpful for me as a young captain.

Karim Janat is the Man of the Series: (speaking with Rashid translating) Thanks to the crowd for being here and supporting us. It was all about the way the team supported me. I tried my best to give my best with the bat, and specially with the ball. I backed my skills.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz is the Man of the Match: (speaking with Rashid translating) I just wanted to bat longer, that's what the coaches told me. They gave me the confidence and told me to just go there and play my natural game.

Kieron Pollard: It was a similar situation to yesterday. We found ourselves in a hole in the Powerplay and couldn't dig ourselves out of it. I cant fault the effort of the bowlers. but having said that, the guys would have taken a lot from this series and how to adapt and play on slower pitches. We have a long-term plan, but we have to deal with what's in front of us right now. Can't say what will happen in October next year (for the T20 World Cup). Yes we are on the losing side, but these things happen. In sport there is a winner and a loser.

Presentation coming up soon.

10.36 pm: An outstanding innings from Gurbaz set it up, and Afghanistan followed it up by being superb with the ball. This win will taste sweet. They had lost the ODIs 3-0 and then the first T20I, and looked down and out. Karim Janat sparked a turnaround in the second game, and Gurbaz capped it in this game. Rashid was lion-hearted as leader and bowler, as were a whole lot of the Afghanistan players.

Naveen-ul-Haq to Pierre, no run

and he finishes it with a slower ball that dies on the keeper even as it goes past his attempted agricultural heave. Fitting way to finish. Afghanistan have won the series.

1w
Naveen-ul-Haq to Pierre, 1 wide

and he'll have to rebowl that, so that's a bit of an anti climax. Went around the wicket and tailed too far into him to go down leg

19.5
1
Naveen-ul-Haq to Paul, 1 run

off cutter, banged into the pitch, he waits for it and pulls it to the man at deep square leg

19.4
Naveen-ul-Haq to Paul, no run

another slower ball, on a length and well outside off. Wild slog attempted, connected only with air

19.3
1
Naveen-ul-Haq to Pierre, 1 run

full toss, he moves across and flicks it to deep midwicket

19.2
W
Naveen-ul-Haq to Holder, OUT

picks out long-on. Slower ball on the seventh stump, he went for the heave, didn't time it. Got enough on it to travel all the way to long-on, but there was a fielder positioned there and it was an easy catch for him

Jason Holder c Mohammad Nabi b Naveen-ul-Haq 6 (5b 1x4 0x6) SR: 120

Azizullah: "In history of cricket, has anyone chased 36 runs in the final over to win match?" - I did it regularly in book cricket. India missed a chance at having me in the team...

19.1
1
Naveen-ul-Haq to Paul, 1 run

yorker tailing into him at normal pace, driven to long-off

Cav: "For all the close games that they lost this year, I pray Afghan would go on to win this one." - well they only need to defend 33 in the final over and they'll have it.

tries to do it again but loses his radar, this time it's too far outside off and it's a wide

18.5
Gulbadin to Paul, no run

another slower ball, brilliantly bowled. Wide of off this time, but rolled his hands over it so much it died on the way to the keeper. The flailing bat was nowhere near ball

18.4
Gulbadin to Paul, no run

slower ball, back of a length. The batsman had no clue about it. Had completed his pull shot by the time the ball went past his off stump

too far outside off and he'll have to rebowl that

Ganesh: "Will Jason Holder do a Dinesh Karthik? " - probably not.

Gulbadin to Hope, OUT

floated up a wide yorker outside off, and Hope had no option but to throw his bat at it. Doesn't meet it on the sweet spot, and ends up hitting straight to Asghar at extra cover. He holds it reverse cup in front of his face

39 needed off 12. West Indies need something special. Still not impossible, but definitely unlikely.

finds the gap. Slower ball dug in short, Holder uses his strength to muscle a pull between deep midwicket and long-on

Naveen-ul-Haq to Hope, 1 run

slower ball, yorker length almost and wide of off stump. Makes Hope reach for it, he cannot get any timing on it and plays it along the ground to long-on with a horizontal bat

Naveen-ul-Haq to Holder, 1 run

tailing into him from slightly wide of the crease, flicked with the angle to deep midwicket

17.3
Naveen-ul-Haq to Holder, no run

normal pace, full and wide outside off. Holder flashes his bat at it, but can't connect

17.2
W
Naveen-ul-Haq to Pollard, OUT

caught at deep midwicket. That is a crucial, crucial wicket. Pollard has the game and the power to take the pitch out of the equation. It looked like he made good connection here too. He had moved across and picked this up from outside off, flicking it with strong wrists. Didn't get enough to clear the man, it was the longer boundary.

Kieron Pollard c Najibullah Zadran b Naveen-ul-Haq 11 (12b 0x4 0x6) SR: 91.66

Mayurdan Gadhav: "We need Dre Russ here."
