Batsman Deandra Dottin will miss West Indies Women's tour of New Zealand, which begins in February, after the WICB suspended her for a breach of its Code of Conduct during a T20 match last year.
Dottin was charged under Rule No. 6, for "behaviour unbecoming that could bring the game of cricket into disrepute or be harmful to the interests of cricket", after an incident during the Tri-Nation Twenty20 Women's Series last October in Barbados. Dottin finished the tournament as Player of the Series.
Dottin met the WICB's disciplinary committee in December, and has since apologised for the incident. She will undergo evaluation over the next two months and attend periodic counselling sessions, the results of which the board will monitor for a year. She will also meet "her two biggest cricketing idols as a means of mentorship", the board's release stated.
Dottin made history when she became the first woman to score an international T20 hundred, during the World T20 in 2010. The 22-year-old has played 71 ODIs and 61 T20Is.
