Eddie Barlow former South African and Western Province captain is on the road to recovery in the Constantia Medical Clinic near Cape Town

Eddie Barlow, the former South African and Western Province captain, is on the road to recovery in the Constantia Medical Clinic near Cape Town. Barlow suffered a stroke in Bangladesh recently returned to Cape Town for further medical treatment last week. Barlow at the time of his illness was coach to the Bangladesh national side.
On receiving a visit from former colleagues at Newlands, Barlow was his normal witty self giving his visitors a detailed run down of cricket in Bangladesh. Barlow is slowly regaining full movement in both his legs. According to Barlow's wife Cally he is expected to leave hospital in mid June.
Barlow is excited about the prospect of Bangladesh receiving full Test status at this months ICC meeting in London.
