Sourav Ganguly finally found some batting form top-scoring with 71 for Northamptonshire, although his side went down by two wickets against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge in a C&G Trophy limited-overs match.
Opening the innings, Ganguly made amends for his double-failure against Worcestershire, hitting seven fours and a six in his knock, which came off 106 balls. He consolidated after losing his opening partner Stephen Peters early, laying the foundation for his team's total of 264 for 7. He was caught by Stephen Fleming off Gareth Clough with the score at 156 for 4.
Ganguly's next outing would be a Twenty20 encounter against Warwickshire at Northampton on June 27.
