"We are glad that these people could take time out of their busy schedules to be with us on this grand occasion," remarked Darren Millien, Marketing Manager, Events, Promotion and Information Technology, of the West Indies Cricket Board.
"Unfortunately, Clive Lloyd, the former great West Indies captain, whose name is attached to the Top Caribbean Fielder award, is unable to attend.
"We now look forward to the remainder of the match being very exciting and competitive, and the nostalgia that should surround the presentation ceremony at the end of it."
All of the award winners, except the Most Promising Fast Bowler, will receive a US $1,500 prize cheque and the respective trophy. The budding speedster will get US $1,000 and the Roberts Trophy.
This year, Carib Beer reached a five-year sponsorship agreement with the WICB to become the Title Sponsor of the West Indies four-day, first-class championship.
