Spinner Majid Haq has been cleared to return to national duty with immediate effect by Cricket Scotland, bringing to an end the episode that began with his controversial tweet during the 2015 World Cup.
In a press release, Cricket Scotland said the matter "is now considered to be closed."
Majid had been sent home from the World Cup after this tendentious tweet about his omission from the Scotland side for a game: "Always tougher when your in the minority!! #colour #race". He subsequently deleted it.
Majid has 60 wickets in 54 ODIs, but had picked up only three wickets in the World Cup before he was excluded. He has also taken 28 wickets in T20Is.
Majid last played in the defeat to Bangladesh in the World Cup, and has since missed two World Cup matches and the four T20Is against Ireland. However, he will be eligible to play in the World T20 Qualifiers beginning on July 9.
