At Dubai, November 18, 2011 (day/night). Pakistan won by 21 runs. Toss: Pakistan.
Mohammad Hafeez was Pakistan's most-improved player in 2011, a presence at the top of the order and a very smart, flexible bowling option. "The Professor", as he is known in the dressing- room, picked up his sixth one-day match award since his return in 2010, thanks to an elegant 83. Pakistan's batting failed to make the most of the excellent start Hafeez and Imran Farhat provided, but their spin-heavy attack ensured it was enough. Umar Gul made an early breakthrough, but Shahid Afridi and Saeed Ajmal managed the tempo. And, right on cue, Hafeez came on to bowl the evening's most thoughtful and economical spell, picking up a wicket for good measure. Man of the Match: Mohammad Hafeez.
