Pakistan v West Indies

At Dacca, March 6, 7, 8

15-Apr-1960
At Dacca, March 6, 7, 8. Pakistan won by 41 runs, thanks against to the splendid bowling of Fazal Mahmood, who captured twelve wickets in the match for 100 runs.
Alexander sent Pakistan in on winning the toss, and the move was successful. Hall, moving the ball appreciably in the heavy atmosphere, captured four of the first five wickets which fell for 22 runs. Wallis Mathias and Shuja-ud-Din stemmed the collapse with a stand of 86 for the sixth wicket, but once they were separated the end was not long delayed.
West Indies fared even worse. Their last six batsmen failed to score, and Pakistan gained a lead of 69.
The early Pakistan batsmen failed once more, but Wallis Mathias and Shuja-ud-Din again came to the rescue with a partnership of 59, and West Indies were set to score 214 to win.
The task always appeared beyond them, though Sobers and Smith raised their hopes with flashes of aggressive stroke-play. Pakistan won inside three days, thus taking the three-match rubber.
