Scorecard
The Titans became the first team to qualify for the PRO20 Series final when they triumphed in a cliffhanger against the Lions at SuperSport Park in Centurion. Chasing 151 for victory, the Titans rode on a collective batting effort and scraped home with one ball to spare.
Batting first after being sent in the Lions got off to a solid start thanks to Adam Bacher's 65 off 48 balls. Ashraf Mall and Neil McKenzie carried on the momentum but the Lions fell short of a big score after a lower-order collapse triggered by Ethy Mbhalati, who finished with 3 for 10 in his final two overs.
Three run outs in the Titans innings proved crucial with Zander de Bruyn, Darryl Cullinan and Gerald Dros all failing to make their ground. With Justin Kemp caught and bowled for 32 after clattering three towering sixes, the game hinged on the powers of the Titans' lower order.
Pierre de Bruyn and Kruger van Wyk shared a fighting partnership and the game entered its climactic stages with ten needed off the last over. de Bruyn smashed eight runs off the first two balls from Garnet Kruger, including a fantastic six over long-on, and all but sealed the four-wicket win.
The Titans will meet the winner of the Eagles Warriors clash in the final on April 27.
