Brad Williams is unlikely to take any further part in the second Test at Adelaide after injuring his left shoulder in a fall while fielding.
"I landed pretty solid on my shoulder and apparently I've got a Grade One strain in my AC joint and I'll see what happens with treatment overnight," Williams said. "It's probably an injury more common with football or contact sport, more so than cricket.
"I actually thought I had broken my collarbone because I had pain up high," he explained. "It's pretty painful, but hopefully with a bit more icing and treatment I might be alright."
Williams added that he hoped to be back in action within a week, but expert opinion was that a month would be nearer the time needed.
Williams's injury means that Brett Lee is almost certain to return to the Australian squad for the third Test.
