Jason Holder showed his bowlers the way, starting with a spell of 5-0-12-2, while Shannon Gabriel worked up high speed. Sri Lanka dipped to 79-6 and, with debutant off-spinner Ashley Nurse picking up three wickets, West Indies claimed the bonus point. Their innings had also been a bit of a struggle, before Jonathan Carter made a cultured 54 and Rovman Powell, another debutant, unveiled some powerful hitting in a 29-ball 44. But from 209-5 in the 45th over, the last five wickets mustered only 18.
