0.4 to DC Thomas, that was an ungainly hoick, and he's dismissed, as he well deserved to be. Nowhere near getting the timing right. The hand came off the bat and it scooped up to mid-on, where an easy catch gives the Kings their first wicket. 2/1 2.6 to CH Gayle, that's all she wrote for the big Jamaican, though. Joseph gets the extra bounce from a slightly shorter length. It grows big on Gayle, who gets a feather through to the keeper. 22/2 16.5 to Naseem Shah, knocks off stump with a yorker. And they are shaking hands, so Bravo won't be coming out. Just as well, this game is well beyond the table toppers. Joseph curves this into the base of off stump and Naseem swings all over it. 124/9 | ||||||||||

14.3 to FA Allen, Fletcher holds on this time! Short of a length and swiftly across the corridor. He hangs back to try and dab this past short third. Gets a thick edge and the keeper sticks out his hands to the right to hold on this time. Allen looked completely out of sorts and he's escorted off the field by the physio, so he's definitely struggling with something, might well be a concussion. 116/5 | ||||||||||

9.1 to RS Bopara, and Bopara's gone! Never got going, really. Spun sharply into the Englishman, and I wondered if it might be doing too much. But the umpire reckons it's hitting, and the Kings get a third wicket. 82/3 | ||||||||||

15.2 to E Lewis, taken at sweeper! Pushed full and very wide outside off. Makes him reach out for that and he can't control his attempted lofted shot. Ends up slicing it to the fielder's left and Cottoy is the man there to hold onto a smart catch. That's the end of Lewis, the only Patriots batter who found any kind of flow today. But even he got a niggle in neck towards the end of the innings and petered out. Good knock nonetheless. 118/6 15.4 to SS Cottrell, clipped straight to short fine! Cottrell gone first ball. This is short of a length, into his thigh pad. Gingerly gets the front leg up and tries to squeeze this wide of short fine. Can't manage it. 119/7 15.6 to DC Drakes, and a third for Keemo! All in one over. Full and wide outside off, reaches out and opens the face to try and clear the off side boundary. 11.1 to SE Rutherford, slashed straight to point! Slower ball just outside off, at a good length. He throws his hands at that to try and beat point, but he's done by the grip and bounce from Williams. He's cross with himself, gets to the dugout and throws his gloves away in disgust. Williams is more spiritual about it all, gets his hands together and says a prayer before pointing upwards. 97/4 | ||||||||||
