47.2 to DJ Bravo, Jarvis strikes, but Dwayne Bravo always looked like doing something like this. Jarvis delivered a slower one, on a length, and Bravo swung like he was trying to jump-start the Large Hadron Collider. A swirling top-edge was easily pouched by Chakabva at long off, and Zimbabwe finally have some joy.. 302/4

28.4 to KOA Powell, a wicket, against the run of play! Mpofu slung down another short one, and Powell stepped back and across to pull without bothering to keep the ball down. Ervine was out at deep square leg, and he held onto a simple catch. There's barely any celebration from Mpofu, who clearly isn't having the best day.. 168/1 38.6 to J Charles, gone this time! Finally Mpofu gets the yorker right, and he's rewarded immediately. Full, straight and swinging in. Charles plays over top of it, and his stumps are rattled.. 248/2

41.3 to AD Russell, a maiden international wicket for Mushangwe! And it's come off a full toss. To be fair, it was low and dipping, and so Russell couldn't get underneath it to loft the stroke, and so his drive flew in the air towards Chakabva, who leapt forward to hold a sharp catch.. 266/3

4.4 to V Sibanda, gone! Roach spears one in to Sibanda's pads, and he misses with an attempted flick to leg. The umpire's finger goes up, and they choose not to refer it ... but what's this? Replays show that it would have missed leg stump! Sibanda conferred with Chibhabha about taking the review, but they decided against it. Oh dear .... 18/1
10 | 1 | 38 | 1 | 3.80 | 44 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 2 | |
10.5 to BRM Taylor, and another one goes, after that short ball, Best follows it up with a full one, Taylor goes after it, and tamely spoons it to mid off, Zimbabwe falling apart. 34/4
10 | 4 | 28 | 3 | 2.80 | 46 | 4 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
5.3 to CJ Chibhabha, appeal for a catch at short leg, umpire's finger doesn't go up, but batsman is walking, Narine's needed three deliveries, half-forward, trying to nudge a spinning offbreak with the turn, inside edge on to pad, and balloons to the right of forward short leg, who takes it happily. 22/2 9.2 to H Masakadza, what an acrobatic take from Roach at long on, it was shortish from Narine, but it was the straighter one, Masakadza had set himself up for the pull, and went ahead with the stroke, but ended up hitting it too straight and too much in the air, Roach came steaming in to his left, dived and was parallel to the ground when he took the ball, outstanding. 31/3 29.3 to RW Chakabva, Chakabva attempts to break free with a wild swipe, aiming down the ground, but he's crease bound and not to the pitch of the delivery. He slices under the ball, and it balloons up and over cover to be easily caught by Roach. A much easier chance than his last one!. 115/6

8 | 0 | 30 | 2 | 3.75 | 28 | 2 | 0 | 4 | 0 | |
40.6 to MN Waller, gone! Waller reaches the fifty and falls soon afterwards. Bravo floated a much, much slower one right up to the bat and Waller took the bait, driving straight to the man at extra cover.. 156/7 48.5 to N Mushangwe, Mushangwe's entertaining innings comes to an end, a quicker ball rushing onto him, taking the inside edge and cannoning into the stumps.. 181/9
7 | 0 | 24 | 2 | 3.42 | 26 | 2 | 0 | 1 | 1 | |
23.5 to CR Ervine, and, as if on cue, Russell strikes! It was an innocuous delivery, full outside off. What Russell did have, however, was a man at short extra cover, and Ervine's loose drive went straight to him. So ends a 58-run partnership.. 92/5 43.4 to KM Jarvis, Jarvis is flummoxed by a slower one, playing way too early, and has his off stump rattled. He didn't know too much about that. There's a muted celebration from the bowler, but West Indies are just going through the motions now.. 161/8 |
