1989 Sachin Tendulkar, at the age of 15, became the youngest Indian to score a century on first-class debut, in 1988. A year later he made his Test debut, in Pakistan, mixing it with the likes of Kapil Dev, who had started playing for India when Tendulkar was only five years old.•AllSportUK
