Brian Havill named as new ECB Finance Director

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has appointed Brian Havill as its new Finance Director. He joins the ECB following the departure of Stephen Atkin.

Brian, 38, leaves a commercial role at Pentland Plc, the branded sports, leisure and fashion wear group. The first nine years of his career were spent with Coopers & Lybrand and this was followed by a period with HI-TEC Sports Plc, where Brian was Group Company Secretary and Finance Director of HI-TEC's fastest growing subsidiary.

He is married, has two children, and lives in Hertfordshire. He retains a keen and active interest in all sport, especially tennis, football and cricket.

"I am delighted to be joining the ECB and I look forward to undertaking this challenging role within English cricket," he said.
