The Pakistan board has hired Darryn Lifson as the team physiotherapist. According to a report in Dawn, a Pakistan daily, Lifson will replace Dr Riaz Ahmed, who had worked with the team for the last four years.
Lifson, a South African, is the latest foreigner to be attached to the Pakistan camp. Bob Woolmer recently took over from Javed Miandad as coach, Barry Richards and Greg Chappell were hired as batting consultants, Daryl Foster joined the squad as bowling coach, while Murray Stevenson came in as the trainer.
These hirings have all happened over the last couple of months, after the Pakistan team were severely criticised following defeats in both the Tests and the one-dayers against India. Pakistan's next assignment is the Asia Cup, which starts on July 16 in Sri Lanka.
