Stolen tickets on sale for international matches

Hundreds of tickets for the Old Trafford Test have been stolen from the Barmy Army and it is understood that a number of these have appeared for sale on online auction sites such as EBay.

Tickets for the ODI between England and West Indies at Trent Bridge (July 7), the Trent Bridge Test between England and India (July 27-31) and the ODI between England and India at Headingley (September 2) are also affected.

The tickets were stolen from offices over the weekend and a spokesman for the Barmy Army said that the ground authorities were being contacted and the intention was to put a block on the tickets and issue replacements. Anybody who buys one of the stolen tickets is likely to be refused entry.

The spokesman stressed that anyone who had already received a ticket directly from the Barmy Army was not affected.
