0.6 to UT Khawaja, cleaned him up! That's the perfect finish to an excellent over. A full length, coming back in at the left hander, he goes for a drive and it's through him. Feet stuck in the crease. 0/1
5 | 0 | 50 | 0 | 10.00 | 11 | 7 | 1 | 1 | 0 | |
9 | 0 | 58 | 1 | 6.44 | 26 | 6 | 1 | 0 | 0 | |
5.4 to SE Marsh, big inside edge to square leg! Junaid strikes in his first over. Back of a length, shapes in at Marsh who plays forward, takes a thick edge into the pad loops to Shan Masood just in front of square. 20/2
10 | 0 | 47 | 1 | 4.70 | 30 | 2 | 1 | 0 | 0 | |
41.4 to AJ Finch, still no Australian as three centuries in a row! Finch looking to cut loose as well, aiming over long-on, but doesn't get the distance and it's a simple catch near the rope. 188/5
10 | 0 | 34 | 1 | 3.40 | 34 | 1 | 0 | 1 | 0 | |
30.5 to MP Stoinis, timber! Stoinis is neither here nor there as he swings across the line at Imad, the ball drifting and dipping past his shot and into the stumps. 140/4
7 | 0 | 35 | 1 | 5.00 | 21 | 4 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
23.1 to PSP Handscomb, flight, drift and turn! Handscomb has used his feet so well, but he chooses to play this one from the crease, lunging forward at it even as he's done in the flight. The ball grips and turns past his outside edge, knocking back the off stump. Wonderfully bowled. 104/3 |

4.2 to Shan Masood, snaffled by a diving Handscomb at slip! Cummins gets the ball to straighten on Shan from around the stumps. The line makes him play, the movement finds the edge, and Handscomb at the solitary slip dives to his left to get a hand under the ball inches from the turf. It's an excellent, sharp slip catch, and Australia have drawn blood. 14/1 6.3 to Haris Sohail, another edge! The plan is the same, and Cummins executes it to perfection to get another one. He angles it in, seams it away, and Haris goes fishing outside off to send a regulation edge through to Marsh at first slip. A regulation chance, chest high. 16/2 6.6 to Mohammad Rizwan, past the edge! Or has he got him? Australia appeal, Cummins is convinced, and likewise convinces Finch to take a review when the umpire says no. Kumar Dharmasena is the third umpire, and he notes a sound as ball passes bat. And ultra edge shows a spike! The decision is over-turned, and Pakistan are three down. A century for Rizwan last time, and a duck tonight. 16/3
8 | 1 | 29 | 1 | 3.62 | 34 | 2 | 1 | 3 | 0 | |
36.2 to Umar Akmal, caught in the deep! Just as the stand was starting to grow, Umar has tried to force the issue, skipping down the track and dragging a loft into the leg side. But he doesn't get all of it, and Cummins moves quickly to his left at deep midwicket, sliding to hold the catch. 149/6
4 | 0 | 21 | 0 | 5.25 | 15 | 0 | 1 | 1 | 0 | |
10 | 0 | 48 | 1 | 4.80 | 29 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
25.3 to Shoaib Malik, finds deep midwicket! That was on the cards. Came down the track, wasn't to the pitch, still went through with a lofted shot over the leg side, the bat face twisted as well, and it's a simple catch. 96/5
5 | 0 | 21 | 1 | 4.20 | 16 | 1 | 0 | 2 | 0 | |
20.4 to Imam-ul-Haq, given lbw, but he's called for the review! Back of a length, slides on with the arm, don't think there's any edge so it's all about the height. It is at the top of the pad, but is hitting the top of the stumps. That's very out. 75/4
9.4 | 1 | 43 | 4 | 4.44 | 28 | 4 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
42.1 to Imad Wasim, Imad runs past a googly and is easily stumped. He was also slightly done in the flight, having jumped down the track. And Pakistan sink a little further. The take from Carey is very close to the stumps ... in front of them? Will have to see a replay. Anyway, Imad marches off. 178/7 42.4 to Usman Shinwari, slugged straight to mid off! Two in the over for Zampa. He flights up a legbreak, inviting the big shot, but Shinwari's slog can only get as far as Behrendorff at deep mid off. 178/8 44.3 to Junaid Khan, Zampa has his third! Tossed up high and Junaid takes the bait, slogging wildly to send a swirling top edge into the air. Carey calls for it, and holds it with a reverse cup with his helmet grille slipping back over his head. 186/9 44.4 to Mohammad Hasnain, there's a review. Zampa floats a googly up high and it rushes in to beat Hasnain's inside edge and hit him on the back leg. The appeal is turned down, but they ask for a review. Three reds, and he's gone!. 186/10 |
