17.1 to JF Mooney, oooh, thats catching practice to short third man. Wonder what he wanted to do with that. It was a slower, shortish delivery outside off. He just jumps up on the spot and plants an open face down on it. The lack of pace on the ball means it ends up as a dolly of a catch. 112/6 19.4 to GH Dockrell, pulled, awfully, to mid-ons hands. Its the slower short ball and Dockrell is into the shot too early. 128/9

2.1 to WTS Porterfield, top edge! Appalling shot from the Ireland captain. Premeditated a lap sweep, but the ball was a shade too short for it and moving across the left-handed Porterfield. The ball leaps straight up and cover runs in to collect a simple catch. 10/1 4.4 to PR Stirling, lobs it to mid-on! The bat face turned in his hand, so he had no timing on the shot. Bukhari roars again. It was a fuller delivery on off stump, so Stirling may have misread it as an opportunity to go big. Couldnt execute it. 26/2 18.1 to SW Poynter, straight to deep square leg! The short ball has been working all day, even in the previous game. This time the batsman goes for a pull, and is into the shot a bit too early. Well bowled by Bukhari, deceived him with the lack of pace. 115/7 18.4 to SR Thompson, caught right on the edge of the midwicket boundary. Thomposon had nailed this as well, looked pretty imperious as he went into the flick. O Dowd though wasn;t thinking about any of those things. He was just watching the ball, backtracked as far as he could and took the catch very matter-of-factly. 119/8

11.3 to A Balbirnie, straight up, and right into the keepers gloves! He was always a threat to the batsman, hustling them. This time Balbirnie looks to make the play by running down the track. He had made room as well to try and slice the ball over the off side. Looks to do that, but ends up skewing the ball to Barresi. 70/3 16.6 to KJ O'Brien, taken at long leg! KOB was looking for the pick up shot over leg again. Think he has hit it a bit too high on the bat. So the ball goes up a little too much and not long enough. 112/5

14.5 to GC Wilson, right through him! Saw Wilson running down the track, pulled his length back and its pretty much a straight ball. The batsman goes for a hasty flick, plays around it and has his stumps knocked back. 91/4

2.6 to W Barresi, no matter, hes gone now! Cusack, has his man. Back of a good length on and around off stump. Barresi goes full throttle. The on-the-up drive is miscued to mid-off. 16/2

1.2 to SJ Myburgh, dragged on! Extra pace, extra bounce on Youngs side. The batsman was looking to cut, but the ball didnt give him any room. Myburgh hit 63 off 23 balls that night in Sylhet. Now he has to walk back for 1 off 3. 6/1

11.1 to MR Swart, picks out long-on! it was a length ball, it deserved a #SwartSwat. But he has mistimed it. Goes only as far as Poynter. 73/3 13.4 to BN Cooper, full toss has worked! He was looking for a yorker, but once he missed his spot Cooper would have been looking at a six. Slashes it over point, but he cant clear the fielder at deep point. 84/4 17.2 to MP O'Dowd, taken at deep midwicket, Malahide roars. Its a length ball on off stump, flicked away strongly but doenst place it well. The Irish players on the park dont seem too enthused by it though.. 118/5 |
