Eris Paton, a hard-hitting batsman and right-arm seamer, player four times for New Zealand between 1954 and 1961. Her first two outings were on the tour of England in 1954 where she struggled, scoring 28 runs at 7.00 and taking 3 for 88. She then played against England in 1957-58, making a career-best 77 not out and 43. Her final outing was against Australia at Carisbrook in 1960-61 where she scored 16 in each innings to go with 4 for 35 and 2 for 20 as New Zealand came close to victory.
