A left-arm orthodox spinner who first represented Warwickshire in 2007, Becky Grundy was called into the England Women's Performance Squad in November 2013 after Holly Colvin announced that she was taking a break from cricket. She made her international debut at the 2014 World Twenty20 in Bangladesh, playing in all six of England's matches in the tournament and taking six wickets.

She missed the 2014 English summer due to a groin injury, but returned to the squad for the February 2015 tour of New Zealand. Having made her ODI debut in the first game of the three-match series, she took 3 for 36 in the final match, helping her side to a 2-1 series victory, and finishing with six wickets across the series at an average of 12.

She was selected for the 2015 Ashes series, the only player included never to have previously faced the Australians, and featured in both the ODI and T20 series. While selected for the 2016 World Twenty20, she played just two of England's group matches, and was omitted from the squad against Pakistan later that year in favour of Alex Hartley. Raf Nicholson
