It will be a momentous occasion for both countries as they'll compete for the ultimate glory. Both teams are in superb form and riding high with confidence. Under the leadership of Gulbadin Naib, Afghanistan proves to be a formidable side. Pakistan will rue their batting errors, as they could have easily added 20 more runs if they had applied themselves better and played out the overs. There's much for them to ponder and reflect on. Meanwhile, Afghanistan seems to be in perfect shape for the final against red-hot India. We hope you've enjoyed our coverage. Until next time, it's goodbye from me, Rvel Zahid, and our scorer Sudeep Poojar.

You have to question the move to introduce Aamir Jamal when spinners were doing so well. Perhaps not great tactical acumen at the end from Qasim Akram. However, take nothing away from Naib, who stepped up with the ball and is the main protagonist today; his heroic unbeaten 26 coasted them home with four wickets and 2.1 overs to spare

Afghanistan team takes a victory leap; they have got a sizable support in the ground and their fans are supporting them with gusto. Afghanistan will meet India for the gold medal match while Pakistan will face Bangladesh for the bronze medal game tomorrow.

Sandeep Jadhav: "Good to see that bench strength of Afghanistan is also strong so they will be serious title contenders in the near future."

Reza: "Pakistan management didn't add Saim Ayub, Imad wasim , Azam Khan, Tayyab Tahir and M. Amir for the Asian Games? All of them are in form, Why?"

Fahim : "Congratulations Afghanistan:) you have secured the victory against Pakistan and all Afghans are very proud of you guys. Job well done "

Vineet Tiwari: "Congratulations Dear AFG, All the best for final. Love from India"

Azweer : "The 2019 World Cup captain, now proudly takes Afghanistan to Asian Games finale in 2023."

Amit: "Well done Afghanistan, Congratulation for confirming a medal."

Kazisb: "Why bring back fast bowler, they Couldn't play spin as well they Couldn't spin read well, why you come back fast bowler however you are already blackfoot, very poor captaincy"

Asif zia khan: "Well done AFGHANISTAN."

anuj: "I think India should not take AFG lightly in final. They have reached after beating PAK and SL. "

Bimal: "Gulbadin used his experience plus Aamer crumbling under pressure as well!"

Pratik: "First SL then PAK - If AFG beats India it will be a perfect Gold for them!!"

DaWolf: "Poor captaincy choice just cost Pakistan the game there."

Aamer Jamal to Gulbadin, FOUR runs

And that's that! Afghanistan have done it and beaten Pakistan in absolute humdinger! The veteran Gulbadin pummels this away to deep midwicket and a fumble from Tahir leaks a boundary. Gulbadin is pumped up and looks a bit teary-eyed! What an incredible win from Afghanistan!

Marvin Gonzapa: "Afghanistan has always been a finalist in asian games winning silver. Will they make it to gold this time "

Vivek: "Pakistan should have stuck with spinners..fast bowlers are much easier to face on this pitch"

Nazeer: "It will be very hard for me to empathise with Aamer Jamal"

1w
Aamer Jamal to Gulbadin, 1 wide

Dishes out a wide and it's curling away outside the guidelines on off, Afghanistan just a hit away from making history

6
Aamer Jamal to Gulbadin, SIX runs

Short slot ball into the deck, he absolutely leathers it over deep backward square for a six and clears the fence

17.3
Aamer Jamal to Gulbadin, no run

Darts in a scorching delivery on back of a length in the channel, he goes for the late cut but only flails at thin air

17.3
1w
Aamer Jamal to Gulbadin, 1 wide

Dropped short and he gets a lot of purchase off the deck, wide signaled on height

7nb
Aamer Jamal to Gulbadin, (no ball) SIX runs

Tugged away to deep midwicket boundary, looks like one bounce over the rope. Short and slammed into the body, sits up nicely for him to get on top of the ball and unleash a meaty blow, well that cleared the fence and he also overstepped!

Should Pakistan have gone for pace here?

4lb
Aamer Jamal to Gulbadin, 4 leg byes

Back of a length, snaked it in around the pads, brushes his pads and rolls over to fine leg boundary. That's exactly what the doctor prescribed for Afghanistan.

Azweer : "Afghanistan needs some positive attitude during these situations."

Ahsan Nazir raj: "Two upsets on the way for Pakistan, my gut feeling says so."

Masud: "Is it first time that same Team Playing ODI and T20i at the same time?Pakistan is playing t20i and odi same time now." Yes, it is the first time

Vinay: "Gulbadin should use his international experience and take Afghanistan home. 25 odd in 5 overs with 4 wkts left, with 2 international players in the team.. you must win the match..."

17.1
Aamer Jamal to Gulbadin, no run

Banged in a short length and it screams off the surface, hits him on the grille as he loaded up for a pull, the concussion protocol will follow, actually it came off the shoulder, he looks okay to continue

1
Usman Qadir to Gulbadin, 1 run

Finishes the over quietly and prompts a late square cut to point region

16.5
Usman Qadir to Gulbadin, no run

Very slow through the air and angling into the body, inverses his stance and premeditates, guides it to cover

16.4
Usman Qadir to Gulbadin, no run

He was trying to heave that into the orbit, throws the kitchen sink at it and the ball rises steeply off the deck outside off

16.3
Usman Qadir to Gulbadin, no run

Sumptuous bowling, reminds me of Abdul Qadir. Tossed up a beautiful legbreak on off, swing and a miss

16.2
1
Usman Qadir to Sharafuddin, 1 run

Biffed off the backfoot and it just evades the man at point, curling away towards the man in the deep, got lucky there

16.1
Usman Qadir to Sharafuddin, no run

Dangles a biting legbreak on a length, turning away sharply, cuts it and it lands short of first slip

Don't go anywhere, I feel like this is going right down to the wire

Sufiyan Muqeem to Gulbadin, no run

Spellbinding stuff! Excellent display of spin bowling. Lands it in the perfect area and gets it to spin away sharply outside off as he attempts a late cut in vain

15.5
1
Sufiyan Muqeem to Sharafuddin, 1 run

Dragged down short and it was a gimmie but he misses out, goes back and tugs it away to deep square, looking a bit ungainly

15.4
Sufiyan Muqeem to Sharafuddin, no run

Another precious dot ball as he tries to punch that down to mid-off, beaten by the prodigious turn

15.3
Sufiyan Muqeem to Sharafuddin, no run

Floated up on a fuller length and lured him into an expansive drive over off, shot was on, but that once bounced a lot and spins away past his edge

15.2
1
Sufiyan Muqeem to Gulbadin, 1 run

Tossed up on middle, clipped gently off the pads to square of midwicket and insouciantly walks through a run.

15.1
Sufiyan Muqeem to Gulbadin, no run

Looks like spinners have found their radar. Fuller delivery with a hint of spin outside off, carved away only as far as cover
