Match State: Delay - Rain

3.50pm There is a strong breeze blowing across the ground, so hopefully the rain will blow through quickly enough. The groundstaff are only covering the middle, let's hope that they are right.

4.15pm The rain keeps falling here, so the groundstaff have started putting more covers in the middle. According to the weather apps, it's not even supposed to be raining now! Modern technology eh?

There is still some time before we start losing overs, and we do need to get another 11 overs in for this match to officially be a game. We could be here for a while....

5.10pm Bad news I'm afraid. It's still raining here and with the cut off time being 6.25pm, there is not chance of the ground being ready in time. What a shame.

Both teams end up with 2 points for the game today. It's just disappointing that we couldn't get a finish in the middle. In truth it's been a soggy couple of days up here in Bready.

Thanks for following along the last couple of the days, fingers crossed that the weather is better when we are at Stormont next week.

Until then this is Justin saying goodbye from a rainy Bready.

Hume to Modgill, OUT

Modgil hits the ball powerfully back down the pitch, Hume gets a hand on the ball and it crashed into the stumps at the other end. Tector had been backing up and can't get his bat back in time, he is run out. What an unlucky way to go.
