full-toss and dabbed to the point fielder for a single, that is the end of that and Chennai have broken their three-match drought with a win!
CSK vs Chargers, 46th match at Chennai, IPL, May 04 2012 - Ball by Ball Commentary
Chasing 161 was always going to be tough given the slow nature of the pitch, but White (77) played one of the better innings one would see on such a track. Still, he needed support from the other end to have a chance of winning the match, which he did not get after the dismissal of Dhawan.
Bravo and Jadeja went for a few runs in one of their overs which gave the side an outside chance but the Super Kings fought back well every time. Back with the presentation in a few minutes.
Presentation
MS Dhoni: The wicket has become slower, difficult for us to capitalise in the latter overs, because of the pitch. It is happening now, it happened last Champions League as well. Doug Bollinger is bowling well in the nets, but too many no-balls in the nets, so we need to assess how he goes. Ben Hilfenhaus did a good job today.
Kumar Sangakkara: It was a case of getting a good start, we got a good start, but they came back well with some good fielding. White batted well, but we dropped far too many to win a close game. We batted and bowled well but our fielding has cost us many games this season.
Suresh Raina is the man of the match for his all-round show.
Raina: I think I need to spend more time at the crease, hitting them well but need to bat till 15th. Whenever the left-handed batsman comes in, Dhoni asks me to bowl. We need to bat well, put some good scores on the board and defend well.
That is it then, will be back for tomorrow's games, of which one promises to be ripper of a contest, between Sourav Ganguly's new team and his old one. Of course, that is if the rains stay away from the contest. This is Suneer Chowdhary signing off for tonight!

So Hilfenhaus will bowl the last over. Christian on strike. The bowler is setting his own fields.
low full-toss, outside the off-stump, Christian was trying to heave it away to the leg side and gets only a single.
poor, poor ball, full-toss, on the pads, he gets a bit of a bat on it and with the fine-leg up inside the circle, it goes for a four
25 off eight needed.
Full ball, the new batsman tries to drill it away, gets a bit of the bat and they are off for a single. Bravo tries to effect a run-out but misses the stumps and Christian is home.
block-hole, run-out, is it? Yes, it is. It was taken on the full, driven through the covers, they went for the second and it looked like Christian was going to the danger end, but the throw came at White's end, he was short of the crease, only marginally, when Dhoni broke the bails.
outside the off-stump, way, way outside and that is called a wide. Easy decision.
yorker-length, converted into a full-toss, but drilled only to long-on for a single
