Allen's first ball is whipped through the cover by Greg Ford, all the fielders had been brought in from the deep and that's the win for the Reds
NW Warriors vs Reds, 16th Match at Comber, PRO T20, Sep 18 2021 - Match Result
Reds won by 6 wickets (with 29 balls remaining)
Graham Hume and Kennedy's 83-run partnership is NWW's highest for the 6th wicket in T20s, breaking the record of 80 between Dougherty and Andy McBrine
We might have had a long time to wait to see some cricket, although it was definitely worth the wait! That was a terrific batting display for the Munster Reds.
Gareth Delany set the tone at the top of the Innings with a blistering 60 off only 35 balls on his return back from injury. A sight that Ireland fans will be glad to see.
Delany found a willing partner from Matt Ford, who took over the big hitting once Delany fell and marshalling the side home to a very impressive victory. A bonus point win and a huge dent into the Warriors run rate.
The Warriors bowling attack never had any answers to the Reds batters, showing once again how they missed Craig Young. None of the bowlers escaped punishment and it's only right that Matt Ford has just been named the Player of the Match.
Bottom beat top, showing once again how competitive this IP20 tournament has been. It's also set up a fasinating final day tomorrow.
Let's hope that the weather plays ball tomorrow. I'll be back at the ground from 9:45am to bring you all the action on the final day of the season. Until then, this is Justin Smyth saying goodbye from Comber.
Hume bowls this one a little too full, driven hard down the ground and bisects the two deep fielders. Reds only 2 runs away now from the win
Ford is on the front foot and swings hard at the ball, slices it in the air over the backward point. The third man fielder can't cover the ground in time to stop the ball
too short from Hume, Swivels on the back foot and pulls the ball down toward the long leg boundary.
Hume goes up for the catch behind, the Umpire isn't interested though. Ford pushed out at a ball outside off-stump, didn't get near the ball though
outside off-stump, leans to his left and guides the ball down to third man
Kane looks to force the ball into the legside, misses and all three of his stumps gets knocked over.
If the Reds can win it before the end of the 16th over they will get the bonus point!
defends to point, they don't think about the single
hits the ball down the ground, its straight to the fielder and he can't hold on as he takes the catch. The ball drops to the ground
hits the ball into the covers
hits the ball towards wide long-off to bring up his fifty
now the reverse sweep comes out! Ford hits the ball so cleanly that it wrong foots the fielder at short third man. Terrfic shot
Kennedy bowls the ball in the slot and it's hit down the ground, just has enough power to clear the rope
20 off that over, not sure that Getkate is going to be getting another one!
goes back in the crease and the ball keeps a little low, hits it out to the cover sweeper
down the legside again and this time the keeper can't stop it
far too far outside off-stump, Doheny has to dive to his right and can't stop the ball cleanly
huge appeal for LBW from the bowler, nothing doing as the ball was drifting down leg.
a slower ball, defends back down the pitch, Getkate bends down to pick the ball up himself
hits the pad and runs away to square leg
this shot is even better! Kane hammers the ball down the ground and it hits the Pavilion roof. What a shot
