10.2 to PD Salt, he departs next ball! Salt finds deep square leg with that clip, and that is another blow for Giants. It was a low full-toss on middle and leg, which Salt tried to dispatch to the on side with his front leg nearly out of the way. But all he managed was a skier to the man positioned in the deep, who barely had to take a step to his right to complete the catch. 100/4 18.1 to MD Shanaka, good diving catch by short third man! Prasanna there dives to his left to snaffle that. Shanaka prepares to reverse-scoop that high-ish full-toss on middle and off, but ends up mistiming it perhaps because it came pretty high on to him. But a very attacking innings comes to an end from the captain. 177/5 18.4 to Najibullah Zadran, another good catch by Prasanna, this time at short fine leg! Slower ball on a good length on middle from Chameera, as Zadran swung for the on side, but seemed beaten by the lack of pace. The ball instead flied behind him, and was even swirling in the air, as Prasanna sat under it. He eventually had to dive forward to nab the ball, which he did to perfection. Another change of pace delivery - in fact bowled from back of the hand - on a back of a length outside off, as Chandimal danced down after making room and slashed to long-off. Good anticipation by the fielder there, since it came flat to him. 145/8 18.5 to PVD Chameera, taken by the keeper to end the entertainment! Excellent catch, with is right glove stretched upwards. 13.6 to DM de Silva, taken at extra cover! That went veryyy high as he looked to loft that full ball wide of off. The challenge for Ratnayake there was to maintain his eyes on the ball and not lose concentration since it was so high. But he did well to take a few steps back and complete the take over his head. 114/6 15.4 to KMA Paul, struck fiercely, but right to extra cover! Looked to go over the top to that fullish ball outside off, but ended up right in the basket of the man positioned on the edge of the circle. It was hit pretty forcefully, and so it was a good take in the end. 137/7 17.5 to S Prasanna, loud, loud appeal for leg before, and given out after a lot of thought. But Prasanna reviews. It is a fair delivery, which lands bang to the right side of his front knee, with his front leg nearly out of the way as he tried to hoick that to the on side. 2.4 to T Banton, bowled him! Banton fancied more adventure down the pitch, but is beaten this time. The ball was fullish on middle and off, and seemed to have kept a little lower than what Banton anticipated, as he was advancing a bit too early, with the ball crashing on to middle stump after he missed his slog. Early wicket for Giants. 26/1 9.5 to SE Rutherford, got him! The off stump is pegged back. Rutherford first thought of coming forward before going back in the crease to try and punch that good length ball on off, but he missed, and the ball just struck the edge of off stump. Perera swung early at that, and played across the line, as the ball took the inside edge on to his stumps. One shot too many for Perera there. 52/2 10.4 to Naveen-ul-Haq, sliced to short third man, and the experiment doesn't come off.
