Almeida powers Rizvi Mumbai into final

Rizvi Mumbai's captain Kevin Almeida struck 56 to help the team reach the final after beating D.A.V College by seven wickets in Chandigarh. Almeida hit four fours and two sixes during his 42-ball knock, and added 64 for the third wicket with Rao Manish, as Rizvi chased down 132 in 16.1 overs.

DAV, choosing to bat, were propelled by a 43-ball 46 from the opener Jaskaran Singh, but wickets at regular intervals right from the start stalled the team's progress. Apart from Jaskaran, none of the other batsmen managed more than 18 as Manish and Prasad Patil shared six wickets between them to restrict DAV to 131 for 9.

Rizvi will now face the winner of Jain Bangalore and MMCC Pune in Friday's final.
