Two surprises sprung in two days. The tournament will take a break tomorrow and be back with a double-header on Saturday. Let's hope the trend of one-siders staying away continues. For now, thanks for joining. See ya.

Shravan: "GG-W are out of the bottom of the table after just one day there." Yep, they're back to No. 4

Ash Gardner, POTM: It's the game I was searching for. I felt I've been inconsistent so far in the tournament. To put my team in a winning position with the bat was great. Laura and I set the platform for our team to leverage off. Then we knew we had to bowl well. We did that, it's the first time we bowled out a team. So it was a clinical performance which is pleasing. We spoke as a team and felt that we were losing too many wickets in clumps. To take our time and remember that 20 overs is a long time, you tend to forget that as it seems to go so fast. So we gave ourselves a couple of balls to have a look, given you can catch up in India where the outfields are fast and wickets are good to cash in at the end. I think as the tournament has gone on, there's been more spin and it has played a greater part. There was none earlier in the tournament, so now we can hit our lengths and find results.

Sneh Rana: Smile is always there. We thought 150 was par based on the conditions. Lanning's was a big wicket and we enjoyed it. Kim started brilliantly, momentum was with us. The two-wicket over swung it back. We've talked about having two good stands and that came about today. Everyone was positive right from the warm-up. We went there determined saying 'we had to do it'. We were good in all three departments and came through.

Kim Garth: We have played well but have been unlucky, happy with the win today. We have been working hard on being calm. People from different countries operating can be challenging at times. We showed tonight that we can put up a fight and stay in contention. Our top-order assessed conditions nicely. 200 was par early on in the tournament but now it's come down to 150-160 and we, the bowlers, are delighted. The pitches are probably getting tired. I was contemplating the whole tournament going at tens and that we'll go for runs even if the bowling is good. Happy that's not the case. With all the teams in contention, it's great.

Meg Lanning: They bowled well but we played poor shots and gave away wickets through run outs. Frustrating game, guess that's the way it goes. Our bowlers did an excellent job and I thought they were 20-25 under par. My shot to get out was poor. Playing across the line on a track where I should have played straight. That happened a couple of times in the innings. The run outs were bad too. (On Harleen bowling) We talked about her, had intel there. She put the ball in the right areas and got reward. It's been a hectic tournament so far, will chill around the pool on the rest day.

10:37pm: A 11-run win for Giants. They were up and down but ended on the right side. Kim Garth was brilliant up top in the chase. Kanwar removing Shafali was significant too. Lanning struggled against Garth but was punishing bad balls after managing to ride it out. Rana trapping her lbw gave Giants an opening but it was Capsey's run out that made the chase a whole lot trickier. Jemimah did not call which led to the dismissal, she nicked off later which handed the reins to Kapp. Her attack took Capitals close to hundred but she was also run out due to a bit of bat running. Arundhati looked like a million dollars and with Shikha for company who was smartly rotating strike, things looked dicey for Giants but Garth came back to remove Arundhati and sealed the game.

Parth: "Amazing match with a twist and turn almost every over!!!"

Gardner to Poonam, OUT

Taken at midwicket and Giants have sealed the game! The fielders are cheering and dancing. Capitals' dugout looks pensive. Was a full ball outside off that Poonam tried to heave across the line. Went around head-height to Hemalatha who took it fingers pointing up

Arundhati can't time the cover drive and finds Rana! Was a cross-seaming in-between length ball around off. The batter stayed leg side and tried to launch it over the in-field. There was no one behind. She'd been batting like a dream and backed herself to go over. But ended up losing her shape and it ballooned off the thick outside edge.

Tap and run to the leg side. Nudges the length ball to the right of the bowler, Garth has to run across and the batters ran like hares

Rana to Pandey, 5 wide

Wide down leg, keeper can't get to the left. Five wides. Shikha made room but then noticed that it was angling away just a bit. Shikha straightens her feet to ensure it missed the pad. Giants have reviewed the wide call. Not sure how this'll be overturned. The ball was full and was just down leg. Decision stands.
