16.5 to RR Hendricks, slapped straight to Bracewell at cover, and Hendricks throws his head back in disappointment! This is banged into the track wide outside off. Hendricks' eyes light up and he throws his hands at it. The ball, though, holds in the surface just enough to meddle with Hendricks' timing. In the end, he can neither clear Bracewell in the ring, nor can he keep it down. A tame dismissal, given how hard he had toiled, but NZ will take that with both hands, especially at this stage!. 109/6 16.6 to G Coetzee, a snorter to welcome Coetzee, and he is on his way! Sharp short ball just outside off and this climbs up onto Coetzee. Also seems to come in with the angle and Coetzee has no room to maneuver it. He does try to upper cut it but all he does is guide it straight through to Seifert. Duffy, all of a sudden, is on a hat-trick, and SA in real danger of being bowled out!. 109/7 | ||||||||||

2.3 to HE van der Dussen, off stump goes for a toss, and Milne has the last laugh! This is zipped in fuller on middle and off, and this seems to curve away just a smidgen. van der Dussen backs away really early, looking to go downtown and loses track of the ball completely. Swishes at thin air and then sees his off stump flattened. Milne is thrilled to bits; van der Dussen, not quite!. 14/1 18.2 to S Muthusamy, straight to Ravindra, and Muthusamy has to go! Seems like an off-cutter, dug into the track outside off. Muthusamy opts to go over extra cover this time, but fails to get the desired elevation. Scuffs it to extra cover, and Ravindra accepts that regulation chance with minimal fuss!. 121/8 | ||||||||||

10.4 to LG Pretorius, soft, soft dismissal, and Santner is on the board! Pretorius will be kicking himself here. This is a drag-down, tailing into the pads. Pretorius could have hit that literally anywhere, including into the trees overlooking the ground, but all he manages is a swat straight to Duffy at short fine leg, who holds onto the chance in front of his face. Pretorius drags himself off, and South Africa, just a little past the half-way mark, are four down!. 57/4 14.1 to A Simelane, rapped on the back leg, and the finger goes up! Angled in on a length on middle stump and Simelane plays the trajectory rather than the actual length. Hangs back, trying to keep it out, but the ball skids off the surface and keeps coming in with the arm. He gets pinned on the back leg, in front of leg stump, and the umpire has no hesitation in raising his finger. Santner has two, and South Africa are five down!. 79/5 | ||||||||||

9.3 to D Brevis, nicked and gone! O'Rourke outwits Brevis, and South Africa are three down! Hard length, angling into that channel just outside off. Brevis looks to arch his back and upper-cut it but the inward angle cramps him for room completely. He ends up feathering it through to Seifert and Brevis, after a brief show of intent, has to walk back!. 52/3 | ||||||||||

Conway throws the kitchen sink at it but the slight movement means he only nicks it through to the cover. A promising knock comes to an end, although given how many SA have on the board, the damage may have already been done!. 51/1 | ||||||||||

6.6 to R Ravindra, holes out to long on! Given a bit of air just outside leg, and Ravindra cannot resist the temptation to have a pop at it. He advances but fails to get to the pitch of the ball for the second time running. He has to reach out in front of his body and cloths it off the toe-end. Hendricks settles under the high ball and makes no mistake, much to Ravindra's disappointment!. 59/2 10.1 to MS Chapman, in the air and taken! Muthusamy has another! Shortens the length after pre-empting the batter's charge. Chapman, despite not being to the pitch of the ball, continues with his shot anyway. Ends up dragging it because of how far he had to reach out for it, and picks out Hermann at deep backward square leg to absolute perfection!. 84/3 | ||||||||||
