Wimbledon CC was established in 1854 and has benefited greatly from its location. It is sited opposite the All England Club, and by agreement does not host home games during the Wimbledon fortnight. That enables it to hire out its grounds for parking and entertainment, thus making it one of the wealthiest clubs in the area! The facilities, as expected, are excellent and the ground has staged second XI cricket for some time.
