Louis Kimber signed his first contract with Leicestershire in May 2021, after completing his stint as captain of Loughborough University, where he was studying for a Masters in Marketing,
Kimber impressed in the second XI, making 178 and 54 against Nottinghamshire, then top-scored with 71 against Worcestershire after getting a chance in the Championship in the second half of the season. He made his maiden first-class hundred against Sussex in 2022, and followed up with a List A hundred against Somerset in the Royal London Cup in August.
