38.4 to Tamim Iqbal, tries to go big down the ground and holes out to long-off. Got the timing wrong and long-off runs a few inches to his left to snaffle an easy catch. Superb knock from Tamim, he has really set it up for Bangladesh. Can they finish strongly?. 212/3 47.4 to Mosharraf Hossain, Mosharraf's pained stay comes to an end. Not a particularly memorable comeback for him. Backs away again and the bowler follows him. But instead of targeting the off side, he lofts it with the inward angle and goes over long-on. There is a fielder there and it is straight down his throat. Didn't have to move an inch to catch that. 248/7
10 | 0 | 58 | 1 | 5.80 | 31 | 3 | 1 | 4 | 1 | |
42.1 to Shakib Al Hasan, nicks a full and wide ball that is held by Shahzad. Pushed across to the left-hander and Shakib goes after it without moving his feet much, opens the face of his bat as he looks to run it down to third man, gets an outside edge for his troubles. 226/4
8 | 0 | 43 | 2 | 5.37 | 22 | 5 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
5.5 to Soumya Sarkar, wildly slashes at one and it is edged to the wicketkeeper. It's short and wide and Sarkar chases at it. That was nowhere close to him and it had good bounce on it. Gets a thick edge that is held easily by the wicketkeeper. 23/1 49.2 to Mashrafe Mortaza, short ball. It was slower and Mashrafe looks to pull it. He is in no control of that shot and gets a top edge that is held by the fielder at short fine leg. 270/8

10 | 0 | 39 | 2 | 3.90 | 37 | 5 | 0 | 1 | 0 | |
43.1 to Mushfiqur Rahim, loopy delivery that was angled in, Rahim plays for the googly but it is a regular legbreak. Spins away after landing and hits him bang in front of middle stump as he makes no contact on the flick. Umpire takes little time to raise his finger. That was plumb. 230/5 43.5 to Mosaddek Hossain, deceives him with flight and bowls a googly. It was floated up nicely and drew the batsman forward who was looking to work it with the turn to the off side. Doesn't pick the variation and the ball beats him. His foot comes out as he was looking to push at it on the front foot and Shahzad whips the bails off in a jiffy. 235/6
8 | 0 | 59 | 1 | 7.37 | 22 | 4 | 3 | 2 | 0 | |
30.3 to Sabbir Rahman, the party is over. Sabbir has thrown it away, and so Rahmat has the last laugh. Credit to the bowler, who wasn't afraid to toss the ball up despite being hit for a six. Sabbir once again went for a big heave, but was beaten by the drift and turn as he managed to top edge the slog straight to short third man. End of an excellent partnership. Afghanistan's reaction seemed to suggest they were relieved, and not elated. 163/2

2.1 to Mohammad Shahzad, beautifully bowled! He thoroughly deserved that wicket. Shahzad didn't move his feet and pays the price but that's not to take anything away from the delivery. It was full outside off and nips back in late. Shahzad looks to work across the line without moving his feet and leavs a big gap between bat and pad. The ball sneaks through that gap and crashes into the stumps. 5/1
5.5 | 0 | 28 | 1 | 4.80 | 23 | 3 | 1 | 1 | 0 | |
33.5 to Dawlat Zadran, slower ball, doesn't pick it up. Tries to go big over long-off and does not get enough on it. He is undone by the lack of pace on that delivery, the shot doesn't carry too far. The bowler runs back and holds on to it. 138/10
6 | 0 | 34 | 0 | 5.66 | 16 | 0 | 2 | 0 | 0 | |
8 | 1 | 24 | 3 | 3.00 | 32 | 1 | 1 | 0 | 0 | |
13.3 to Nawroz Mangal, it can't get more plumb than that, the comeback man has a wicket, and it is a big one too! He shapes to play a sweep across the line, but the ball was pushed through quickly and it kept coming back in to hit him flush on the pad. That would have crashed into middle. Mangal knew he was trapped the moment the ball hit the pad. The umpire didn't take long to raise the finger either. All the elements of a typical left-arm spinner's wicket there. Drift, the angle and a hint of turn. So lovely to watch.. 52/2 13.6 to Hashmatullah Shahidi, the age old saying of 'one brings two' holds good most times, doesn't it? This was a poor, poor stroke. Looks to sweep, but this time there's plenty of bounce on that tossed up delivery on middle which takes the top edge and lobs to Tamim, who takes a dolly at short fine leg.. 52/3 25.5 to Mohammad Nabi, gentle lob back to the bowler. Nabi was completely deceived in flight as he chipped down the track. He was looking to work it across the line but ended up spooning a dolly. The end is near for Afghanistan. What a comeback this is turning out to be for Mosharraf. 89/7
7 | 0 | 31 | 2 | 4.42 | 26 | 4 | 0 | 1 | 0 | |
22.5 to Samiullah Shinwari, done in by the short ball which reared up on Shenwari. He tried to hook but got himself into an awkward tangle and could only manage a glove on the way through to Mushfiqur Rahim. The ball deviated back in a long way to cramp up Shenwari, which also played a part in the dismissal.. 83/5 24.3 to Rahmat Shah, the short ball has sucker punched Rahmat, who was peppered with yorkers. This one was dug in short outside off, Rahmat looks to pull - made it look like he was playing a cross court forehand - but the ball got big on him to take the top edge that was easily pouched at midwicket. Rahmat's feet were off the ground when he made contact with that ball. With positions like those, you're unlikely to be in control of too many short deliveries. More so in this case as he had to fetch it from way outside off.. 88/6

32.2 to Najibullah Zadran, both halves of the partnership have now been dismissed. It was floated up and on off, tempted him to go for a big drive and that is exactly what the batsman does, only that he gets a big outside edge that is snaffled at first slip. Bangladesh one wicket away from their 100th ODI win. 132/9 |
