17.1 to Najibullah Zadran, a legcutter. On a length around off. Najib goes for the pull but gets a bottom edge onto the stumps. 134/6 19.1 to Karim Janat, full outside off. Janat goes aerial but doesn't get the required distance and Axar takes a simple catch at long-off. 164/7 19.5 to Noor Ahmad, full on the stumps. Helicoptered towards wide long-on. Kohli moves to his right and takes it comfortably. 170/8

2.2 to Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Bishnoi strikes second ball. Full again, just outside off. Gurbaz looks to go aerial down the ground but the ball hits the inside part of the bat. No elevation either and Dube takes a simple catch at mid-on. 20/1 14.2 to Mohammad Nabi, a length ball around off. Nabi stays back and launches it towards long-off. But don't think he middled it. It went up in the air and Rinku settled under it right at the edge of the boundary line. 104/5
4 | 0 | 17 | 2 | 4.25 | 11 | 1 | 0 | 1 | 0 | |
5.4 to Ibrahim Zadran, castles him. A length ball around off, bowled at 91kph, perhaps a touch slower than the previous one. Zadran pushes at it but gets beaten by the turn and the off stump has been pegged back. 53/2 11.3 to Gulbadin Naib, 90kph. Drags it towards the leg side but ends up hitting it straight to short midwicket. Was a length ball around off, and Axar delivered it from well in front of the popping crease, thus changing his length without any change in action. 91/4

6.5 to Azmatullah Omarzai, Dube too strikes in his first over. Was a back-of-the-hand slower one. It pitched on a length in the line of the stumps and kept a touch low. Omarzai swung across, missed it and lost his wicket. 60/3

0.5 to RG Sharma, bowled him! Rohit looked to be aggressive first ball, as he backed away, but ended up getting dismissed. The Indore crowd is stunned. Farooqi is on top. He bowled on the shorter side of a length on middle, getting it to shape away while also getting good bounce. The ball ended up hitting bang on the top of off as Rohit looked to pull but missed, as Afghanistan strike in the first over of their defense. 5/1

5.3 to V Kohli, chipped to mid-off! The bat turned in his hands as he lofted that, and that was a hint that it wasn't well timed. Ibrahim at mid-off barely had to move to his left, and take it high with a reverse cup, as Kohli went lifting this full delivery just outside off. But the ball seemed to have come off the bottom of the bat, which turned as he looked to loft. 62/2

12.3 to YBK Jaiswal, gone, outside edge behind! Indore is left shocked, as if Jaiswal could never get out. This went off the inside edge, and dipped on to Gurbaz, who went low to grab this. Janat bowled on a length just outside off, angling it into the left-hander, as Jaiswal looked to hack, but did that without any foot movement. 154/3 12.6 to JM Sharma, taken at mid-off! Jitesh falls with victory in sight, and with a lot of time left. This short-of-a-length ball again seemed to have skidded through on to off stump, taking the higher side of Jitesh's bat, as he looked to swat this back. Nabi got a comfortable catch in the end, as Janat struck again. 156/4 |
