0.2 to Mohammad Mithun, loud appeal for lbw, that's close and gone! Mathews pitched it on short of length outside off and got it to jag back in a fair bit that beat Mithun completely. Looked plumb the first time, but will have to check replays if that was good for height. Yes, hitting middle stump easily. 0/1
4 | 0 | 44 | 1 | 11.00 | 9 | 6 | 2 | 0 | 0 | |
1.3 to Soumya Sarkar, leading edge and easily taken at mid-off, Sarkar is gone! It was pitched up outside off, Sarkar drove on the up and the ball went pretty high and towards the circle, where Mathews took a few steps back to pouch that. Big wicket!. 2/2

15.6 to Sabbir Rahman, connects with the slower ball again but holes out this time! Almost went down on a knee as it was fuller around off, nearly swept that one and found Jayasuriya at deep midwicket. 108/4 17.2 to Shakib Al Hasan, too quick a bouncer for Shakib to hook that in time, top edge goes high and Chandimal goes a step or two to his right to pouch it easily. 123/5 19.2 to Nurul Hasan, goes across a bit and looks to whip it over midwicket but gets a leading edge and that's an easy catch for Mathews at cover. 140/6 |

17.1 to AD Mathews, length ball wide of off, it leaves the batsman a touch off the pitch. Mathews goes for the big hit over the covers, ends up slicing it high over point. Shakib moves towards the boundary, with the ball dropping down from behind him. Juggles it once, but catches it on the second attempt. 102/6 19.1 to MD Shanaka, low full-toss close to off stump, Shanaka slogs, and the ball hits high on the outside half of the bat, loops up in the air, and straight into short cover's hands. 116/7 19.3 to KMDN Kulasekara, full on off stump. Kulasekara plays a whippy lofted hit down the ground, picks out long-on. 117/8
4 | 0 | 21 | 2 | 5.25 | 8 | 1 | 0 | 1 | 0 | |
3.1 to TM Dilshan, down the track, Dilshan gets nowhere near the pitch of this one, tossed up just that bit slower. Goes through with the big shot, doesn't time it at all, and it goes high in the air behind the bowler, and Sarkar makes up for that drop with a stunning grab, charging diagonally towards the boundary from mid-off, catching the ball with both hands as it comes down from over his shoulder, and completing the catch with a slide on his elbows. 20/1 11.2 to GSNFG Jayasuriya, this time he leaves his crease too early, and Shakib bowls it shorter and wide of off stump. Jayasuriya reaches out frantically, can't make contact, and the keeper does the rest. The spinners are making critical strikes for Bangladesh. 78/3
4 | 0 | 19 | 1 | 4.75 | 11 | 1 | 0 | 1 | 0 | |
13.2 to NLTC Perera, super change of length, slips in the full ball angled into the stumps. Perera falls over, plays around his front pad while trying to flick, and misses the ball. Hits low on the front pad, and that looked as plumb as plumb can be, on first glance. Pitched on off, struck in front of middle, hitting leg stump, is what ball tracking stays.. 85/4
3 | 0 | 17 | 1 | 5.66 | 6 | 1 | 0 | 1 | 0 | |
14.6 to TAM Siriwardana, slower ball on off stump, and Siriwardana holes out! Picks the change of pace, clears his front leg, sets himself up nicely on a wide base, slogs it away, and picks out the fielder at deep midwicket. 92/5
2 | 0 | 14 | 1 | 7.00 | 5 | 0 | 1 | 0 | 0 | |
10.6 to LD Chandimal, again Mahmudullah bowls it shorter as he sees Chandimal shaping to reverse-sweep. Goes through with the shot, doesn't really get hold of it, and scoops a simple catch to the man at deep point. 76/2 |
