Makes room to try and access the offside. Dug away, but in the air, and mid off dives to his right to take a smart diving catch. Big wicket! 9.6 to J Weatherald, pinpoint yorker to send Weatherald back. Full and fast, and beats the batsman for pace. Bat came down very late. 79/3 15.2 to Rashid Khan, full and wide outside off. Clears his front leg and looks to club it over mid off. Slices it, and the ball flies high in the air. Philippe calls for the catch, and runs across to cover for a diving catch. Poor judgment from Rashid. 114/6 19.2 to C Valente, in the air and long on runs in to take the catch. Slow and wide, forcing Valente to reach at it. Plus he's through the shot too early, so the ball pops right in the air. Great deception from Curran - couldn't realise it was the slower ball from the action. 135/9 19.4 to HNA Conway, yorker length, on middle, and that's too good for Conway. He looks to defend, but it takes a big nick into the keeper's gloves. 79/4 10.6 to J Edwards, two in two! First-ball duck. Good length on off, but the googly spins inwards. Edwards is caught on the wrong line, and the ball hits him in front of leg stump. Rashid's massive appeal may have convinced the umpire, because that was sliding down leg for certain. 79/5 12.1 to JC Silk, he's got a hat-trick! Full on off, and the googly turns through Silk's defense, and clips middle stump. The Strikers are now roaring! The BBL's fifth hattrick. 83/6 | ||||||||||
