12.3 to J Weatherald, Weatherald's cameo comes to an end! This was a good length, angled in. He looks for a reverse pick up past short third but misses completely. The ball clatters into the top of off stump. 91/5 12.6 to JJ Bazley, Hardie has a second in the over! This was a good length on off and just seams this away a touch. 1.2 to DJM Short, And Behrendorff has taken a cracker! This was back of length and angled into D'Arcy Short, who looks to stay back and work this onside. But he only manages to get an inside edge on to his thigh guard, as the ball pops up around three quarter way down the pitch. Comes down the track looking to go over extra cover but ends up slicing this drive gently to the man at point. 47/3 17.1 to BAD Manenti, And just like that it comes to and end! Connolly strikes straight away, as he fizzes this in quicker seeing that Manenti was coming down the track. 12.5 to NR Hobson, A blinder by Short! The Scorchers are being struck down one by one! This one bounces a bit extra off a length. Hobson looks to pull but is surprised by the extra spring. Ends up chipping this a good couple of feet to Short's left, but he scrambles and dives one handed to take a splendid return catch! 4.5 to S Fanning, And Fanning's enterprising knock debut comes to an end! This was short of a length, attempts to pull this over the long boundary at deep midwicket but just doesn't get the power needed. Easy catch for the man stationed there. 38/1 | ||||||||||

5.4 to MS Harris, Pope strikes! This was short of a length outside off, but Harris just slices this cut straight to point. Soft dismissal. 42/2 7.4 to AM Hardie, Pope has another! This was tossed up, and Hardie has missed a straight one! Maybe this just dipped a touch under the drive, but it wasn't jaffer by any means. Just full and straight. Scorchers in trouble. 48/4 15.4 to AJ Tye, Pope with an absolutely glorious googly! This was full on off, but quicker too. It pitches, grips and goes right through bat and pad as Tye fails to pick it. He looks to drive hard but plays all around it!. 98/8 15.6 to JP Behrendorff, Pope has a four! And it's the googly again! This was even better than the last! Good length on off, elicits the drive and just rips through bat and pad. The Scorchers are almost completely cooked here!. 98/9 | ||||||||||

6.6 to SM Whiteman, Holes out at long-on! This was tossed up and Whiteman just about checks his stroke, which means it's struck clean but not enough to beat the man on the ropes. The Strikers are clawing themselves into this contest!. 46/3 11.1 to JP Inglis, Boyce crashes Inglis' stumps! Tossed up on a good length, slides through after pitching. Inglis makes room and looks to go through the covers but this one slips under his bat and busts down leg stump. Scorchers are five down!. 70/5 16.2 to C Connolly, What a way to end this game! That was absolutely stunning on the ropes! This was a length ball and Connolly looks to pull it. He flat bats it high to long-on where James Bazley on the rope leaps up catches it, realises he's about to go over the ropes, pops it back up, steps outside the ropes, hops up palms the ball up in the air, then sets foot inside the ropes and completes the catch. He briefly sets his heal on the rope to steady himself but crucially steps back off before touching the ball. They check the replays to confirm and it's good! The Strikers win by 50 runs! Some boos ring out, as the crowd is not happy but what an effort by the Strikers!. 105/10 | ||||||||||
