11.2 to Hassan Khan, Can you do it off the back stool? That's the question Dwarshuis has stumped Hassan with. This is rushing at the body, Hassan doesn't have time to make room and top-edges a pull straight up. Dolly taken at mid-on.. 92/5 16.6 to TL Seifert, Another thick edge to the keeper. Just 110ks. Legcutter is shortish and the left-armer's angle is sharp. Seifert - with his open, diagonal stance (front foot facing long-on) - tries to heave it over mid-on. Ball balloons off the edge to the keeper's right. Taken around shoulder-height. 142/6
3 | 0 | 25 | 1 | 8.33 | 9 | 3 | 1 | 0 | 0 | |
10.3 to LJ Evans, Can't force it over mid-off, Evans goes out without getting one away. Three-quarter length around fourth, top-of-stump height, Evans went for a lofted straight drive like it was a full ball but the ball hit close to the sticker. 85/4
4 | 0 | 34 | 2 | 8.50 | 12 | 2 | 2 | 0 | 1 | |
2.1 to J Fraser-McGurk, Cutter? There is a change of pace and that does for JF McG. He cleared coast and wanted to slash it straight again. Like the six last over but the lack of pace fiddled with his timing. Too early into the shot, skied off the bottom of the bat, and it plummets to mid-off. Think the batter might've picked the ball but couldn't execute the shot. 22/1 8.3 to MW Harvey, Harvery, to twang a Danny Morrison-ism, fats an edge to the keeper. 122ks on the fuller side of length, angling away through fourth. Harvery had a lot of room and tried to power a lofted drive it over mid-off. Ball plastered off the edge to the keeper. 81/3
3 | 0 | 27 | 1 | 9.00 | 6 | 4 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
19.2 to F O'Neill, There's the one at the stumps. Double-bluff by the batter doesn't work. Big boundary leg side, but he went across anyway. Exposed all three stumps. And Kerr went yorker on middle. Out of access for the flick and ball rattles two stumps. 162/7
4 | 0 | 24 | 1 | 6.00 | 5 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
5.6 to J Brown, Spin does the trick, somewhat a soft dismissal. Brown, who made room, got the slowness that made the ball short enough for the pull but picked out deep midwicket. Brown squatted a bit and got the length right too, waited for it - so he read the pace. Don't think there was spin, played too early. Just execution issues.. 60/2

1.4 to JR Philippe, Drop don't cost Gades much, Phillippe out a ball after getting a life. He tried to whip the 137ks fullish length ball from the stumps. Got a leading edge that stayed up for a while. Taken behind the wicket by Evans, who had to settle under it for a while. 19/1
3 | 0 | 27 | 1 | 9.00 | 5 | 4 | 0 | 1 | 0 | |
12.3 to JC Silk, Slow does it, just 72ks! Hassan, kinda like Gudakesh Motie, wrings the stock ball in from wide of the crease. Brings the stumps into play, Silk wanted to work it towards midwicket, but was too early and the ball popped gently at Sutherland's chest. 104/4

9.4 to J Edwards, Edwards knew he'd floated one straight to long-on right after hitting it. The shot was a fusion of a flick and a drive, he wanted to check it but was too late and the ball popped lowish to Rogers coming in from long-on. Was a fullish 134ks length ball on the pads at the stumps. Against-the-run-of-play stuff, that. 81/2

11.4 to JM Vince, Top of middle! Oh, it's top of off... even better! Vince made to look like a tailender there. He was backing away to the leg side as the 135ks length ball was shaping to come in towards middle, he probably wanted to push it off side for a single. But that looked to have seamed away and hit the outer-half of top of off.. 99/3 14.2 to J Davies, No footwork and that's edged to the keeper. Davies took a leg-stump guard and stayed put trying to drive the 122ks length ball on fourth through cover. Feathered it. Not sure if it's just Sutherland's high release point but that looked like extra bounce at first. 126/5 |
