Full toss ball on the stumps, plays it straight back to the bowler with the sweet part of the bat. Simmonds only managed to get a hand to it, parried it away and the batters rotated the strike.

That's a wrap on today's match. Thank you for staying with us! This is Rashad Mahbub, and on behalf of Sudeep Poojar and Harshith Gowda, I'm signing off. Cheers!
Nicholas Pooran: "First of all, praise and thanks to God. We couldn't ask for anything better. Coming home, we knew what to expect. We faced a challenge where we felt like the opposition batted really nicely, but our bowlers kept us in the game, and our batters took responsibility and got it done. I am very proud of the guys. I just felt like this was the right time to get into the tournament. This is a really crucial time for us in our home leg, and we want to continue with this momentum. Every game from here is very important, and we just want to continue to get better. For us to be successful, everyone has to contribute and do their jobs. We have been playing really good cricket. We have been taking responsibility as senior players. If you look at our squad, we have a lot of senior guys, and the way they talk and play cricket, it's an honor to be a part of this team [Against Warriors]. I'm sure the fans don't want to leave; they'd rather stay here for the game. But we're looking forward to tomorrow. We obviously have to try to get some rest and recover as fast as possible."
Rovman Powell: "It's been a difficult start. Trinidad is a tough team to play at home. From a batting standpoint, we batted fairly well. After the start we got in the Powerplay with only 14 runs, we thought 170-plus was a good score. If you had offered that to us at the start of the game, we would have taken it. Bowling-wise, we just have a few areas we need to sharpen up on. I tried something as a captain that didn't work out tonight from a tactical standpoint. At a critical stage of the game, all my bowlers were getting hit, so I tried to change things, but it didn't work for me. I think our home leg will determine how far we go in the competition. We have five games in Barbados, and hopefully, the people of Barbados come out and support us. We are at a stage where we will need as much help as possible. In the time before our next game, we'll see how best we can have individual meetings and just those little sessions where we can spend a lot of time together as players."
Player of the Match, Colin Munro: "[Thumb] It's all right. It was a bit of a carry-on, but it's like when you roll your ankle, you think it's worse than it is. It's not too bad at the moment. This is a good team that gave me my first opportunity in franchise cricket. I wish I knew why I was so successful here because then I'd take that knowledge around the world. But I know that with the talent we have, whether I bat slowly or get off to a flyer, we've got the power to make up for it. It's not just about the top order; the whole team is doing a good job. We spoke about it because now, we are the hunted. We don't have that aura about us anymore like we did four or five years ago. All the teams now are very, very good. We used to be a little bit better on paper, but now all the teams are stacked, so we know tomorrow night is going to be another fantastic atmosphere playing against Guyana [Amazon Warriors]. It's always a great battle against those guys, and I'm looking forward to it."
11:58 pm The Trinbago Knight Riders completed another brilliant and clinical run chase, maintaining their winning streak and moving to the top of the table. The Barbados Royals' wait for their first win continues. Munro went berserk in the Powerplay, hitting boundaries all around the field. The Royals' bowlers struggled to maintain their line and length as the dew increased, making the ball very difficult to grip. Munro was dropped by Warrican on 27, a dropped catch that proved very costly. He and Hales scored 56 runs in the Powerplay alone, setting a dominant foundation. The chase had a brief wobble when the Knight Riders lost both Hales and Carty in the space of three deliveries. However, Pooran immediately took the game away from the Royals, hitting three consecutive sixes off Rovman Powell's over. The 93-run partnership between Munro and Pooran completely dominated the middle overs. Munro eventually departed after scoring 67 runs off 44 balls, but Pooran stayed unbeaten with a fantastic 65 runs off 40 deliveries. Kieron Pollard also played a cameo of 19 runs off 9 balls, which took him to an incredible milestone: 14,000 T20 runs, making him just the second player ever to reach that mark. All the Royals' bowlers were expensive, with only Simmonds and Bosch managing to be economical.

Oh dear! What have you done, Munro? It was a short pitched ball wide outside off, gets on top of the bouncer and slices it over backward point. Rutherford comes around and sends a pinpoint accurate throw at the striker's end. Munro is well short of his ground, as there wasn't a second run available. Easy glove work from QDK and that's the end of Munro's innings tonight.
