108.2 to HJ Swindells, cleaned up! Middle stump flies out of the ground. Length ball, pretty quick, and Swindells is late on it. The stump cartwheels back, and Roach has his first wicket as a Surrey player. 339/6 110.5 to CF Parkinson, banged in halfway down, Parkinson fends at it, and it flies into the hands of slip! Roach has been bowling some heat in this spell, and this one was aimed at Parkinson's throat. Sharp catch by Jamie Overton, and that'll be lunch. 353/7

93.2 to ST Evans, through him! Hint of turn, Evans plays down the wrong line, and is beaten on the outside edge. 298/4 111.1 to BWM Mike, edged and gone! Prodding forwards, and the outside edge flies to the solitary slip. Virdi has his second. 353/8 111.6 to D Klein, drag-down, which Klein somehow manages to play onto his leg stump! Three for Virdi, nine for Surrey. 353/9
20 | 6 | 55 | 1 | 2.75 | 90 | 7 | 0 | 0 | 1 | |
42.1 to Hassan Azad, banged in halfway down, and Azad pulls... straight down the throat of fine leg, who takes the catch low to the ground running in off the boundary. Disappointing way to go after a gritty innings, and Overton makes the breakthrough for Surrey. 130/1
20 | 0 | 52 | 3 | 2.60 | 88 | 3 | 0 | 0 | 1 | |
49.4 to HE Dearden, fired way down the leg side, and Dearden feathers an edge to the diving Foakes! Terrible way to get. A nothing ball, flying down towards fine leg, but Dearden gets a flick on it and is caught behind. 147/2 60.3 to CN Ackermann, trapped on the pad playing across a straight one, and that is stone dead. Skids through from a fullish length, and would have pinged back the top of middle. 176/3 98.4 to LJ Hill, chopped on! Bottom edge onto the base of the stumps. Hill departs after a useful innings. 312/5 |

86.1 to BT Foakes, inswinger on a length, from wide on the crease and round the wicket, which bursts through Foakes and rips out his off stump! 229-run stand comes to an end, and Klein strikes with the new ball. 322/4

10.6 to MD Stoneman, strangled! Length ball, straying down the leg side, and Stoneman looks to clip off the hip. There's a thin tickle as it goes through to the keeper, and Leicestershire have their first!. 43/1 18.5 to HM Amla, yorker, Amla can't jam his bat down in time, and Griffiths traps him dead in front!. 83/2
13.4 | 0 | 79 | 1 | 5.78 | 47 | 12 | 0 | 0 | 1 | |
141.4 to MP Dunn, knocks him over! Leg stump goes flying to a loud cheer from the Vauxhall St. balcony party. Nothing shot, trying to run it down to third man. And Surrey have decided enough is enough - they've declared with a lead of 297. 672/8
36 | 2 | 172 | 1 | 4.77 | 130 | 19 | 3 | 0 | 0 | |
21.2 to RJ Burns, big shout for lbw as Burns gets down to sweep... given! Burns throws his head back in frustration. Looked like he might have been outside the line, and height might have been an issue too, but the finger goes straight up. 93/3
21 | 1 | 90 | 2 | 4.28 | 73 | 5 | 3 | 0 | 0 | |
125.6 to OJ Pope, big shout for a stumping, and it's given! Pope isn't best pleased with it, but he'll have to trudge off. Astonishingly good innings comes to an end. Standing ovation from the Surrey dressing room. Pope was giving himself room to flay one into the off side, and his right foot lifted slightly as he had a swing. He got it back down, but not quite in time, according to the umpire. 556/5 129.6 to JL Smith, cleaned him up! Middle stump out the ground. Smith made room for himself, looking to fire this into the off side, but was done in the flight and then clean bowled. Fine innings. 575/6 |

57.3 to CN Ackermann, fired down the leg side, and Ackermann gets a tickle on it trying to sweep! Virdi steams off in celebration and is absolutely pumped. Foakes went early towards the leg side, and this either flicked the back of Ackermann's bat or the glove on its way through. Loops up to Foakes, and that's a huge breakthrough for Surrey.. 143/3

32.1 to ST Evans, banged in halfway down, and finally Evans falls to a short one! Got into a horrible mess playing this, only managing to steer it straight to short leg. Clark aimed at his throat, and found the right length to get him fending at it. Big breakthrough for Surrey. 82/1 32.2 to HE Dearden, smashed on the pad and up goes the finger! Dearden drags himself off, and can probably feel hard done by. Length ball, decent bounce to hit him on the top of the pad, and I think there were two possible issues: impact, which might have been just outside the line, and height. But the umpire is convinced it was hitting the top of off, and Dearden will have to go!. 82/2
