46.4 to KL Rahul, gottim, this time the yorker misses the bat. Gets the length right, and the line too, seemingly, and Rahul misses the flick and is hit on the back pad, around shin-high. He's reviewed, though... No inside edge... It's tailing in, but not enough to miss the stumps. Hitting leg stump as per ball-tracking. 333/7

1.1 to RG Sharma, and he strikes immediately, Rohit will have to wait for 11,000. Beautiful delivery, angling into off stump, hitting a good length, straightening sharply off the deck. Rohit has to play at it, gets a little squared up in defence, and edges behind for Salt to catch with a dive to his right. Feels like some of the movement we're seeing off the pitch might have something to do with all the cracks on the surface. 6/1
49.3 to Washington Sundar, hard length, angling into off stump, and that sort of length at Wood's pace is very hard to hit. Looks to clear his front leg and go down the ground, but the ball hits high on his bat and pops gently into the hands of long-on running to his right. 353/9
807419.25126330
48.6 to Harshit Rana, hard-length slower ball on off stump, and Rana can't quite connect this time. Makes room to try and flat-bat it - down the ground is the intended direction, I guess - but it bounces more than he'd like and he skews it in the air to the man at extra-cover. 353/8
504719.4076110
43.5 to AR Patel, clever, clever bit of bowling, and it's the 44th over so I guess you have to take these chances as a batter. Looped up slow and wide of off stump, and he makes Axar reach for the ball but he can't quite get to the pitch while looking to launch it down the ground. Takes on long-off, but ends up getting caught there, just inside the rope. 307/6
1006446.40285300
18.6 to V Kohli, huge ripper-dipper, Kohli is done! That's a wonderful delivery, reminiscent of the shock-and-awe legbreak that became a meme in 2018. Lots of air from Rashid, a hint of drift, dips as he is drawn forward to the length, grips on middle and leg and turns sharply, not into the off stump this time, but the edge of the blade for Salt to swallow the deflection. A fine knock but it's sawn off now. 122/2
34.3 to Shubman Gill, bowled him! Not the best shot from Gill, goes across the line without playing a proper sweep, and I think he's done for length here apart from the fact that this was the wrong'un. Too full to sweep, and he ends up attempting a standing sweep, and sort of yorks himself as the ball turns in and disturbs his furniture. Ends a brilliant, serene innings that was shaping up to swell to frightening proportions. 226/3
38.2 to SS Iyer, and out of nowhere, Rashid has a third wicket. Quick legbreak down the leg side, doesn't turn as much as Iyer expects, and all he was looking for was a little clip for a single. Could have left it alone and picked up a wide, but ends up getting a thin inside edge that Salt does very, very well to grab down the leg side. 259/4
40.6 to HH Pandya, 6, 6, jaffa. What a way to end his 10th over. It's not as if Hardik became overambitious after hitting two sixes. On the contrary, he saw that this was a good-length ball demanding respect, and stretched out on the front foot to defend it. The drift towards leg stump opens him up a little, and then it turns sharply past the outside edge to hit the top of off stump. Incredible delivery, and the timing of the wicket could be crucial. 289/5

6.2 to BM Duckett, has a huge wipe through the line! Oh dear, it's deja vu all over again! Another flying start from England, and another quality innings ended too soon. Duckett can't pick the slower ball, hoists it high in the air to Rohit at mid-off, who makes no mistake. Is this the start of the inevitable?. 60/1
8.4 to PD Salt, rocks back to the slower ball, a lollipop catch to point! That's a snowball-soft dismissal, as Salt attempts the uppercut but there's nothing there to work with at all. A bit of pace on the ball and that could have been six... 119kph on the other hand, is a dolly of a lobbed catch!. 80/2
513126.20196010
24.1 to JC Buttler, and strikes immediately! Buttler's bottom hand, so devastating when things are going well, becomes his foe here. Back of a length and into the pitch, fairly wide of off, and Buttler goes hard at the back-foot punch, with his bottom hand taking over and causing him to address the ball with an angled bat. Gets a thick inside edge that rattles his stumps, and England are five down. May have kept a bit low. 154/5
26.6 to HC Brook, bowled him, Rana has got another batter playing on! This is a little unfortunate for Brook, to be fair. Length ball close to off stump, and he presses forward to defend close to his body, with the bat face pointing down. Maybe it hurries onto him a little more than expected, or maybe it's just one of those random events, but the ball hits the face of his bat, and rolls backwards onto the stumps. Hit the sticker of the bat, so maybe some extra bounce. 161/6
504318.60126110
29.3 to LS Livingstone, oh, nicely bowled, and very nicely done by Rahul. Again Washington senses Livingstone is about to step out, and fires it down the leg side as he does so. Tries desperately to flick it away but can't put bat to ball, and Rahul could have been unsighted but moved smartly down the leg side to collect it and flick off the leg bail. 174/7
6.212223.47241100
20.2 to JE Root, bowled him! Axar gets a massive wicket, and that's a little loose from Root. It's very full, angling in from that wide release, would have pitched just outside off had it been allowed to land. Root will be miffed that he's out looking for a pushed single into the covers, going with an angled bat and allowing Axar's exaggerated angle to work its magic. Hits the inside edge and rolls into the stumps. 134/4
34.2 to AAP Atkinson, makes room to leg, loses his off stump! And that, as they say, is that. A gutsy cameo from Atkinson, but he had no answer to Axar's inexorable angle back into his stumps, another delivery from round the wicket, pretending to have width but ending up with nothing of the sort. A thrash at thin air, and England have been slamdunked by 142 runs. 214/10
503827.60166100
30.3 to AU Rashid, bowled him, and there's a rash of England batters playing on now. Short outside off, and Rashid is through his pull too early, or it keeps a little bit low, and gets a bottom edge into his stumps. 175/8
32.1 to MA Wood, rocks back for another slap out through the covers, but he's picked out the sweeper! Iyer swallows the chance, five yards in from the rope. Tight line from Hardik, just back of a length, it was a worthy roll of the dice from Wood but England are nine-down now. 193/9
803814.75232100
17.6 to T Banton, oooh, did he edge that? The umpire thinks he did, and Banton doesn't appear to be sure himself. He consults with Root before reviewing. Beautifully flighted wrong'un, pitches on middle stump or thereabouts, brings Banton forward to defend without allowing him to get close to the pitch of the ball. From there it turns away and, yup, it's brushed the outside edge on its way to Rahul, who completes the catch after a juggle. Classic Kuldeep wicket. 126/3
