8.5 to Z Crawley, got 'im! Abrar is mobbed by his team-mates after ripping one through Crawley's defence! Crawley lunges forward, not expecting this to turn much, but it jags back sharply, past his inside edge and into the top of off stump. Pakistan's newbie makes an immediate impact, flicking out the front of his hand. 38/1 18.6 to BM Duckett, tossed up and straightening on the stumps, Duckett sweeps and misses... not given this time, but Babar reviews with the timer running out. No glove on this one, pitching on leg and struck on the knee roll in front of middle and off. What does Hawk-Eye say? Hitting the stumps three-quarters of the way up! So Dar has to change his decision again, and Duckett ducks out. 117/2 24.1 to JE Root, big-turning delivery on the stumps, huge appeal. Dar shakes his head! This looked close, and Babar opts to review. Root was grinning away at the appeal but might not be too comfortable now. Height possibly the main question, but he was back on his off stump. Long wait for UltraEdge, though I don't think he hit it... Big gap between bat and ball. Now a delay for Hawk-Eye... and it's hitting! Pakistan are jubilant as Dar reverses another decision and Root trudges from the field. Third of the morning for Abrar. 145/3 28.4 to OJ Pope, reverse-swept straight to backward point! Pope is furious with himself, as he gifts Abrar his fourth wicket... He's on for all ten at the moment! Really scuffed the shot and it provided a simple catch. He walks off punching the back of the bat, England continuing to veer between triumph and disaster. 164/4 30.5 to HC Brook, slapped in the air... taken! Five for Abrar! Foxed in the flight and Brook's attempt to take him downtown ends up in the safe hands of Nawaz at mid-off, where he took it well despite the glare of the sun. Abrar performs a quick sajdah by the pitch, what a magnificent debut he is having. 167/5 42.3 to BA Stokes, knocks back off stump with a wrong 'un! Abrar-cadabra, that is magic! Stokes reacts like a man who knows he has been beaten all ends up, and becomes the latest England batter bamboozled by the one that goes the other way. It grips from a length, rags away as he looks to defend into the leg side, and crashes into the top of middle-and-off. England six down, and the debutant has all six.. 228/6 44.5 to WG Jacks, smashed on the pad as he gets down to sweep, up goes the finger! Jacks reviews in hope more than expectation after Abrar wheels away celebrating. Pitching in line, hitting in line, and shaving the top of Jacks' off stump after a hint of turn away. Aleem Dar's onfield decision is upheld... Abrar has seven out of seven on debut!. 231/7
7.4 | 0 | 63 | 3 | 8.21 | 19 | 8 | 1 | 0 | 0 | |
47.3 to OE Robinson, skied to mid-on! Zahid ruins Abrar's run... Goes for the big slog-sweep once again but this time send a swirling top edge to Mohammad Nawaz, who pouches it securely. Zahid gets among the wickets with his third delivery of the afternoon, and the dream of all ten on debut for Abrar Ahmed dies. 245/8 47.4 to MJ Leach, bowled first ball attempting to reverse-sweep! Jack's back in the box, and Zahid has two in two. Round the wicket, tossed up invitingly and Leach crabs around to try and smack the ball through cover, misses completely and turns to see his leg stump pegged back. 245/9 51.4 to JM Anderson, bowled 'im! Anderson is beaten attempting to reverse-sweep again, the ball dipping under the bat and skidding through to hit leg stump. Zahid plucks a third and that is that for the England first innings, after a lively last-wicket thrash. 281/10

2.2 to Imam-ul-Haq, nicked off! Imam falls second ball on his home ground. Long conversation with Shafique about the possibility of a review, but he decides against. A fraction short of a good length, and the extra bounce seemed to take Imam by surprise. It nipped away from the bat, just a touch, and UltraEdge confirms it shaved the outside edge on its way through to Pope. England have an early breakthrough. 5/1
27 | 7 | 98 | 4 | 3.62 | 128 | 18 | 0 | 0 | 1 | |
13.3 to Abdullah Shafique, nicked off! Hang on, Erasmus has no interest in it and gives it not out. England review almost immediately. Full length, just enough turn, and UltraEdge confirms a thin outside edge as Shafique looked to defend with a straight bat. Pope juggled it but managed to cling on at the second attempt, and the decision is overturned. 51/2 45.5 to Saud Shakeel, tries it again, and holes out to mid-on! That's a horror shot from Shakeel, but a wonderful take from Anderson, a swirling chance to his left, outside half of the bat and skewing away, had to cope with the close attentions of midwicket too, but clung on well to deliver Jack Leach his 100th Test wicket! No mean landmark. 158/4 49.5 to Mohammad Rizwan, crashes into the top of middle-and-off! Leach wheels away towards Stokes at cover in celebration and England have a crucial breakthrough. Beautiful ball, drifting in appreciably from Leach's wide-on-the-crease angle, before turning away from Rizwan's bat as he looked to work a full, dipping ball towards mid-on. Caught in two minds how to play this, and ended up being a nothing shot. 165/5 51.6 to Mohammad Nawaz, skips down and chips straight to mid-off! Leach has four and Pakistan are in real trouble. Nawaz uses his feet, looking to manufacture something and put the pressure back on England with three men around the bat, but near enough yorks himself and can only skew an attempted into-out drive straight to Robinson. 169/6
11.5 | 1 | 40 | 2 | 3.38 | 52 | 6 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
56.1 to Zahid Mahmood, pinned on the pad, up goes the finger! Zahid takes a while to decide to review, despite the fact there are three left, and reluctantly concludes he should. Nowhere near the inside edge, smashing into his front pad at shin height as he tries to jam the bat down and defend. Tailing in late, skidding through lowish, and smashing into middle-and-leg!. 179/9 62.5 to Faheem Ashraf, whipped straight to deep backward square leg! Duckett had just moved to that position in the deep, and Wood runs over to Stokes to applaud him for his field placing. Skidding through lowish from short of a good length, and Faheem could only chip it straight to the man 10 yards off the rope. 202/10
10 | 3 | 23 | 2 | 2.30 | 50 | 4 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
52.1 to Agha Salman, poked straight to Stokes! Horror shot, and Pakistan are collapsing! As soft a dismissal as you'll see, and Root is delighted. Gentle offbreak, angling across the right-hander, but Salman can only pop it straight up in the air to short mid-on, pushing tamely forwards. 169/7 52.5 to Mohammad Ali, nicked to slip! Pakistan have lost 3 for 0, and 5 for 11. Full, drifting across the right-hander. Comes forward, looking to defend with an open face, but can only manage an outside edge, high on the bat, which loops up to Crawley at slip via the top of the back pad. He clings on, reaching high above his head, and Root has two in the over. 169/8

34.2 to Babar Azam, cleans him up! Robinson makes an instant impact, crashing into middle-and-off to send Babar back. Good-length ball which tails back appreciably. Where has he been?! A fraction fuller, reversing in past Babar's tentative straight drive. Not much foot movement, and a slighlty loose shot from Pakistan's skipper. 142/3 |

6.6 to WG Jacks, Avada Kedavra! Jacks swings into the slog-sweep, doesn't pick the googly, the ball dips and bites beneath his urgently wiped wand, into the stumps... and Harry Potter has his eighth of the match! Actually, he might have picked it, it was just a bit of a terrible shot... more slog than sweep. 25/2 20.2 to JE Root, screamer at short leg! Length ball outside off stump, Root got down and across early looking to dink a daintly sweep around the corner, but couldn't get it past the man in tight under the lid. The TV umpire will check if this is a clean catch... and it looks like an absolute worldie in slow-motion! Shafique saw Root move across early and raced around to his right in anticipation, but was then wrong-footed as the ball came low to his left. He stuck out a hopeful hand, and somehow gobbled it up, just above the turf. "His fingers are under the ball," confirms Joel Wilson, and Root has to trudge off. 79/3 35.2 to BM Duckett, bowled by a grubber, Abrar has 10! Duckett can't believe it. Loud cheer from the crowd to mark Abrar's 10-for and his team-mates surround him in celebration. Not Abrar's best ball by any means. Dragged down, short of a length, and Duckett looked to drag him across the line into the leg side. But the bounce was low, and the ball skidded through into the bottom of his off stump. 147/4 59.1 to OE Robinson, heave-ho! Robinson skips down the pitch, misreads the length, has a hack across the line, is beaten through the gate by one that skids straight on, and Abrar has his, what, 11th of the match? Tidy. 259/7
10 | 0 | 42 | 1 | 4.20 | 33 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
58.2 to BA Stokes, brilliant catch in the deep! Stokes winds into a massive haul to the leg-side, but gets right underneath his stroke. It was a lot of work for Ali to do though, rushing round to his left, judging the swirler, and diving forward to pouch the opportunity. The end of a bright knock from the skipper, and signs that England won't be batting for much longer. 256/6
10.5 | 1 | 52 | 3 | 4.80 | 32 | 4 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
62.5 to MA Wood, zippier through the air, and a fence to slip! Excellent take from Babar, Wood was back on his stumps, uncertain which way it was turning, it was a fast legbreak, ripping into his splice, and the skipper scoops up low to the turf. 270/8 64.2 to HC Brook, swept to deep square leg! Brook plants his front foot, and hacks across the line, but he got too far underneath that one, down at the toe of the bat and a well-judged take on the rope. The end of a mighty century. 271/9 64.5 to JM Anderson, struck on the thigh pad sweeping, and up goes the finger. With three left, Anderson might as well take the review but this looks pretty plumb. Having seen the first replay on the big screen, Anderson is heading towards the dressing room... and ball-tracking suggests this would have smashed into middle stump, nine-tenths of the way up.. 275/10

18.5 to Babar Azam, stunning seamer! Robinson jags one wickedly off the pitch, back into the top of off stump as Babar shoulders arms! It was on a wider line, but it bit the seam and snaked back half a foot. For the second time since lunch, one of Pakistan's finest looks back at his stumps in bewilderment!. 67/2 102.1 to Mohammad Ali, gottim, nicked behind! It took a while for Erasmus to raise the finger... but is it all over? Ali reviews, though he looks a bit sheepish in doing so. There was definitely a sound, and I think the ball then flicked the back leg. Yes, UltraEdge clears it up, a big outside edge and then it deflected off the knee roll through to Pope. Robinson lands the knockout blow, England winning a thriller by 26 runs to go 2-0 up in the three-match series. 328/10

60.3 to Imam-ul-Haq, thick edge to slip and Root clings on! Multan falls silent, other than England's roars of celebration. Full, looking for the rough outside Imam's off stump. He looked to slap a drive through the covers, on the attack, but seemed to misread the flight and could only divert it, at pace, to the solitary slip fielder. Sharp chance, gobbled up, and England have finally broken the fourth-wicket stand. 191/4
21 | 3 | 65 | 1 | 3.09 | 86 | 7 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
69.5 to Faheem Ashraf, gottim! Slip snaffles a thick outside edge! Floated up nice and full, there's just enough turn to change the direction of travel as Faheem's bat face comes through, the ball kisses the edge and then dollies to Crawley. Root gets his 50th Test wicket, and England have the early breakthrough. 210/5
21 | 2 | 65 | 4 | 3.09 | 93 | 8 | 1 | 0 | 0 | |
28.1 to Abdullah Shafique, pace is pace yaar! Full and fast, keeps low as it shapes back in through Shafique's forward defence, and demolishes off stump! He could have got forward with more conviction, but that was right on the money from Wood. Only clocked at 141.7kph, but it was quite quick enough. 83/3 91.4 to Mohammad Nawaz, strangled down the leg side, Wood gets Nawaz! Short ball, angling in from around the wicket. Nawaz looked to take it on, trying to pull it off the hip, but could only manage to glove it through to Pope down the leg side. Huge moment. 290/6 93.3 to Saud Shakeel, another leg-side strangle, heartbreak for Shakeel! The umpires are coming together but the batter thinks he is in trouble. Wood bangs it in short again from around the wicket, angling the ball down the leg side. Gloved through, shaping to pull. Pope dives low to his right and gobbles it up... ooh, it's very close to the ground between his fingertips. "Looks like the gloves are under it," Joel Wilson says, "but I can't tell exactly." He's looking for a clearer angle to confirm that the fingers are under the ball all the way through. This is taking a while... given out! England have the huge wicket they were after before lunch, and the huddle erupt in celebration. 291/7 99.1 to Zahid Mahmood, splat! Off stump out of the ground! Just enough tail back in, through Zahid's tentative prod, Pakistan nine down. Wood leaps and claws the air in celebration. Money ball with the tailender tentative and expecting the bumper. Through the gap and flattens the off pole. 319/9

15.5 to Mohammad Rizwan, bowled him! Anderson is a miracle man. Line and length, jagging it the other way this time, zipping round the edge and into the off stump! Rizwan is bemused as he troops off... that just inveigled its way into the stumps, in two places at once, like some theoretical quantum particle. 66/1 96.2 to Abrar Ahmed, slapped straight to cover! Abrar the pinch-slogger is gone... A liberty too many, but he's pushed England back with that flurry of fours. Anderson keeps it simple, asks him to take on a good-length ball, and Abrar can only splice a simple catch as he tries to come down once again. 310/8
